Baltimore Ravens -3

Over/Under 39.5

Here is a look at the key head-to-head trends surrounding this AFC North divisional matchup.

  • Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
  • Under is 4-1-2 in the last 7 meetings in Cleveland.
  • Over is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings.

Baltimore 411

  • Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
  • Ravens are 13-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

Baltimore (10-4 SU, 7-6-1 ATS, 7-7 O/U) had to hold on late, but generally looked very good in beating the New Orleans Saints 30-24 in Week 15 to cash in against the NFL Odds as a 1-point home favorite, thanks to the terrific all-around game from multi-talented running back Ray Rice as the fleet-footed star rushed for 153 yards and one score while adding 80 receiving yards on seven catches with another TD.

Cleveland 411

  • Browns are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC.
  • Browns are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Cleveland (5-9 SU, 5-9 ATS, 8-6 O/U) is coming off a narrow 19-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15 where they failed to cash in against the online NFL Odds as a 1-point road underdog to fall to 1-5 ATS over their last half-dozen games.

Analysis: The NFL odds surrounding this matchup are way off in my opinion as Baltimore should be favored by a minimum of seven points at the very least, but hey, I say take the money and run as Baltimore absolutely crushes their division rivals to smithereens (now there’s a word you don’t see everyday).

Baltimore averages just 5.1 points per game more than the Browns, but also allows 1.3 fewer points per contest. Still, it is their win over New Orleans in Week 15 that I believe will be the catalyst that spurs the Ravens to a big win as they finally get back to featuring Ray Rice more in the offense.

Ninety-eight percent of NFL fans like the Ravens, but even if they didn’t, I’d say this one is as close to a lock as it gets.
