NFL Betting Line: Colts favored by 2 ½ points

The Colts go into this one as a curious division winner to say the least. They withstood a barrage of injuries to key players but they stayed strong in the face of adversity.

The NFL lines favorites plugged in parts like Blair White and Jacob Tamme on offense and kept rolling, although not at the clip we’re used to seeing, under the guidance of Peyton Manning at QB.

The Jets meanwhile seem to have had bad vibes going for the latter half of the season.

Once the air of invincibility was shattered surrounding their defense, the floodgates opened. The unit was exposed as lacking pass rushers and the secondary wasn’t nearly as adept at covering people as expected.

The NFL lines have the Jets as a slight underdog in this one in large part because of the big QB edge enjoyed by the Colts.

Mark Sanchez is not trusted by Jets fans in the clutch, although it should be noted that his youth and the big stage he’s played on are considerable factors.

In this one, those factors will loom large as Sanchez will be under extreme pressure to perform yet again and likely facing a deficit at some point late in the game.

With the NFL lines favorite Colts boasting home field and a big QB advantage, it’s hard to bet against them.

Indianapolis has won 21 of their last 25 home games and the Jets are 3-8 in their last 11 trips to Indianapolis going into this one.

Many of those are in the past but still, the odds and the betting trends are not in the Jets’ favor in this one and the Colts have momentum heading into this one as well.
