Carolina Panthers at New York Giants

1 pm ET Sunday
NFL Line: Giants favored at -6.

The two teams have a lot of similarities, especially when it comes to their styles. They like to run the ball to set up the pass and they both are well-equipped to do so.

The Giants and Panthers both feature two of the finest two-headed backfields the league has seen in recent memory and they’ll need every scrap of yardage they can get from them in Sunday’s NFL game.

The Panthers are healthy in the backfield and Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams offer the thunder-lightning combination that no one else can in the league.

New York’s tandem of Brandon Jacobs, perhaps the biggest running back in league history, and Ahmad Bradshaw, who is expected to have a breakout year, is almost as effective when used the right way.
Of course, the big difference between these two teams lies at the quarterback position.

While Eli Manning has his faults he is much more proven than Matt Moore, and Manning has many more targets including Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham, two more young players with the potential to break out in 2010.

Carolina doesn’t have the secondary depth to stay with all of Manning’s wideouts and that will be the key.

NFL line pick: New York Giants (-6).
