NFL Game Line – Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins
September 12, 2010
According to the NFL game line, Donovan McNabb will begin his Redskin expedition as an under dog against an all too familiar foe.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins
Live from FedEx Field – Maryland
Kickoff: 8:20 pm EST Sunday, September 12, 2010
TV/Radio: NBC
NFL Game Lines:
Dallas Cowboys -3
Washington Redskins +3
Total +40
McNabb has lost 7 of his previous 10 games against Dallas, and it doesn’t look like those numbers are going to improve anytime soon.
The six-time Pro Bowler suffered an ankle injury in Week 2 this NFL lines preseason and admits that he is still not back to full health. However, McNabb may not be Washington’s biggest concern as there are glaring issues amongst his receiving corps and running backs.

Here’s a stat for you, no Redskins wide receiver that made the roster this season caught more than 65 yards in any game during the preseason.
38-year-old Joey Galloway looks like a second-team receiver, which means Santana Moss will see plenty of attention from defenses this NFL game lines season.
Issues with their running backs also have the Redskins faithful doubting what new head coach Mike Shanahan is able to do with a bruised and battered Washington backfield. 29-year-old Clinton Portis suffered enough injuries a year ago to keep him out for the entire last half of the season. His multiple concussions and ankle injuries had escalated to such a high level that Portis even debated an early retirement.
In the eight weeks he did play, however, Portis had less than 500 rushing yards combined with only one touchdown.
Don’t expect Washington’s rushing attack to start rolling at any point during the game against a Dallas defense that allowed just 90.5 yards per game – 4th best in the NFL last season.
The Redskins come into Week 1 with concerns on the defensive side of the ball as well, with a dispute between two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynseworth and head coach Mike Shanahan escalating this offseason.
Dallas’ pass attack, which ranked 6th in the NFL a year ago with 268 yards per game, will be firing on all cylinders, especially with the addition of gifted rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant.
The Cowboys’ should also be able to wear down the Washington defense particularly with the emergence of 23-year-old running back Felix Jones averaging 5.9 yards per attempt last year (1st in the NFL).
Expect the Cowboys’ offense to completely destroy a Haynes(worthless) Washington defense. Meanwhile, Dallas’ defense will put a halt to a familiar quarterback in a bad situation.
Marshall Mention: McNabb lost both NFL game lines to Dallas last season and Washington has dropped their last three games to the Cowboys.
NFL Game Line: Bet on the Cowboys (-3).
