Forget CBS, NBC and ABC!

Scratch USA, FOX and TBS off the list too!

I’ll go one step further and omit TNT, the television station whose motto is ‘We Know Drama’.

NFL followers and betting enthusiasts that love real ‘drama’ won’t find any better place to fill their compulsion for drama than by watching the revamped Cincinnati Bengals who recently signed veteran publicity-seeking wideout Terrell Owens to go along with their own resident headline-making pass-catcher Chad Ochocinco.

Now, thanks to the creative and highly-entertaining NFL Futures Odds centered on the pair of wide receivers, pro football betting buffs everywhere can cash in with a plethora of potentially profitable NFL picks.

With NFL training camps rolling right along and the 2010 NFL preseason period drawing closer by the day, let me get started with my analysis and expert NFL picks on these original NFL Futures Odds.

More TD’s in Regular Season

Chad Ochocinco -130

Terrell Owens -110

Analysis: Last season, Ochocinco caught nine TD passes as the Bengals’ primary wideout while Owens hauled in five TD passes for the Buffalo Bills while catching passes from a rotating carousel of signal-callers, including Ryan Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards.

For his nine-year career, Ochocinco has averaged 6.8 TD receptions per season with a high of 10 TD receptions back in 2003. Owens has been the far superior TD scorer during his 14-year career, racking up a whopping 144 TD receptions for an average of 10.2 TD receptions per season.

Owens may be the older receiver of the two and will have to get accustomed to playing with Carson Palmer, but I like Owens here.

NFL Expert Pick: Terrell Owens

More Receptions in Regular Season

Chad Ochocinco -135

Terrell Owens -105

Analysis: Owens caught 55 balls last season and has recorded 1,0006 career receptions for an average of 71.8 catches per game while Chad Ochocinco has grabbed 684 balls in his career and made 72 receptions just last season while averaging 76 receptions for his career. I’m backing Ochocinco here, but I’ll be the first person to admit, it’s going to be close.

NFL Expert Pick: Chad Ochocinco

Who will be benched first

Chad Ochocinco +140

Terrell Owens -180

Analysis: Owens has worn out his welcome in several cities while Ochocinco has still managed to hang on in Cincinnati, though he was very close to being shown the door himself on one or two occasions, so If I’m betting on this one, I’ve got to believe that Owens is the odds-on-favorite in this one.

NFL Expert Pick: Terrell Owens

Who will be arrested first

Chad Ochocinco +150

Terrell Owens -200

Analysis: I’m a bit surprised about this Futures selection, particularly since neither player has ever been arrested for any off-field occurrence. One thing that I’ve always loved about T.O. is the fact that he was raised with some serious morals by his grandmother. In spite of all of his me-first qualities, I believe Owens is a quality person off the field – and the fact that he has not had a single run-in with the law confirms that. Sorry Ochocinco fans, but I’m backing Owens here. If someone gets arrested, it’ll likely be good ‘old number 85 .

NFL Expert Pick: Chad Johnson

Who will be traded first

Chad Ochocinco +200

Terrell Owens -300

Analysis: This one is a no-brainer NFL betting buffs! Owens wore out his welcome in San Francisco, Philadelphia and Dallas and has earned a reputation as one of the most divisive figures in sports today. Ochocinco, for all of his own foolishness, has somehow managed to not wear out his welcome with the Bengals in nine years, but I wonder if that’s because the teams has had so many other off-field problems with other players. If I’m betting on this one, I’m betting that Owens gets traded first.

NFL Expert Pick: Terrell Owens
