NFL Football Betting Stud Giants Return to Action vs. Seattle
November 7, 2010
The New York Giants have turned into NFL football betting studs. After starting out the season 1 and 2 straight up, the G-Men have won 4 games in a row. They are 3 and 1 against the spread in those 4 games and have punished Chicago, Houston, Detroit and Dallas in the process.
Their victory over Dallas, a week before their bye, was particularly impressive as the G-Men knocked ‘Boys’ QB Tony Romo out for the season. The New York Giants, the best team in the NFC, return to action this Sunday against the tough Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle will be looking to bounce back after a horrid performance versus the Oakland Raiders. Oakland destroyed Seattle 33 to 3. A return to Qwest Field should help the ‘Hawks rebound, but beating the G-Men might be tough. Can Seattle keep the game within the football betting number?

The football betting trends favor the Seattle Seahawks in this game.
- The Seattle Seahawks are 4 and 0 ATS in their last 4 home games.
- The Seattle Seahawks are 4 and 0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss.
- The New York Giants are 9 and 4 ATS in their last 13 games on field turf.
- The New York Giants are 1 and 5 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS victory.
I love the New York Giants. I really believe that they can win the Super Bowl this year, but I can’t see myself giving the Seattle Seahawks 6 ½ points in a home game. The NFL football betting odds just don’t make sense to me in this game.
Obviously, the odds makers have gotten the line right. After all, 66% of football handicappers are all over the G-Men in this one, but I’m not part of that 66%. Yes, the Giants have the #2 ranked defense and #3 ranked offense in the NFL. Yes, the Seattle Seahawks just got their asses handed to them last week, but there is no stadium like Qwest Field.
The Seahawks are almost unbeatable when they play at home. In fact, the ‘Hawks haven’t lost a game at Qwest Field yet this season. More importantly for our purposes, the ‘Hawks are 3 and 0 against the spread when they play at home.
As good as the Giants are and, trust me, they’re really good, trying to cover a 6 ½ point spread against a decent Seattle team on the road might be asking too much. The Seahawks are developing a running game and QB Matt Hasselbeck is beginning to trust WR Mike Williams more and more.
If this game were at the New Meadowlands Stadium, I’d probably back the Giants all the way up to 10 ½ points, but I can’t make them my football betting pick ATS at -6 ½ points in this game because it will be played at Qwest Field.
I’m going to go with the Seattle Seahawks versus the spread in this game. Their 12th man should be raring to go on Sunday and he’s going to make all the difference in this contest.
NFL Betting Pick: Seattle Seahawks +6 ½ -110
