Heading into this weekend’s action, the most intriguing game might come from Sun Life Stadium where the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins go head-to-head. Which team has the edge? Let’s take a look.

For Pittsburgh, the story around this team last week was obviously the return of two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to their lineup. In his first start after being suspended for four games, Big Ben shook off some rust, completing 16 of 27 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns.

His passing only helped the running game, as Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown of his own.

But as much as Roethlisberger is the talk, the real story on the Steelers is their defense. They were once again spectacular last weekend, allowing just 10 points to Cleveland, and forcing three turnovers, including two interceptions on rookie Colt McCoy.

Currently, Pittsburgh has the No. 1 ranked scoring defense in the NFL, allowing just 12 points per game, and not a single opponent has scored more than two touchdowns against them.

And it’s because of that defense, that the Steelers should be part of your NFL Parlay Picks heading into this weekend.

The truth is, that although Miami is 3-2 heading into this game, you’ve got to wonder if they’re going to be able to move the ball on this Steelers defense. Miami had a feared running game coming into this year, but is rushing for just over 115 yards on the ground per game.

That only puts added pressure on quarterback Chad Henne, and he too has struggled, throwing seven touchdowns, but five interceptions as well so far this season.

When making your NFL Parlay Picks this weekend, the play here is Pittsburgh on the road.

Arizona Cardinals (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS) at Seattle Seahawks (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS)
Sunday, October 24: 4:05 p.m. Fox, Live from Qwest Field, Seattle, WA

Betting Odds:

Arizona: +5 ½
Seattle: -5 ½
Total: 41

First place will be on the line in the NFC West Sunday when a pair of 3-2 teams- the Seahawks and Cardinals- do battle at Qwest Field in Seattle.

For Arizona, the biggest questions lie on the right arm of quarterback Max Hall. In the first start of his career, Hall was phenomenal two weeks ago, throwing for 168 yards, and leading Arizona to a victory over New Orleans. Larry Fitzgerald was his usual magnificent self, making seven catches for 97 yards.

But don’t sleep on Seattle here. The Seahawks are 3-2 on the season, but 2-0 at home, with big-time victories over San Francisco and San Diego. They are also coming off maybe their best win of the season, when they went to Soldier Field last weekend and beat the Chicago Bears 23-20. In that game Seattle’s defense was excellent, controlling the line of scrimmage and the clock, and outgained the Bears on the ground 111 yards to 61.

And it is because of Seattle’s running game that the Seahawks are the play to make Sunday.

Yes that sounds crazy, considering that Seattle ranks 30th in the NFL in rushing yardage. But there’s no doubt that this team saw a spark in the recently acquired Marshawn Lynch.

In his first game since coming from Buffalo, Lynch carried for 44 yards and a touchdown last week. Add in Justin Forsett’s 61 yards on the ground, and for the first time all year, this offense is looking to two-dimension, with the two running backs and Matt Hasselbeck under center.

When it comes to the NFL Parlay Picks, the wagers are clear: Take Pittsburgh and Seattle to cover the NFL betting odds.

NFL Parlay Picks: Pittsburgh -3 and Seattle -5 ½
