Although it is technically only a preseason fixture, I have been itching to see the world’s greatest athletes crash into each other for almost six months now.
This game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cowboys has a lot to offer, even if you are more of a casual football bettor or fan.
With the new arrival of Terrell Owens in Cincinnati, it will undoubtedly be entertaining to see Chad Ochocinco and Owens on the same sideline together, donned in Bengal stripes.
How could you not watch these two NFL knuckleheads in a showdown as to who has the best end zone celebration or sideline prank? I hope we get to see one of them score six before they are pulled for their backups.
Furthermore, the Cowboys are always an exciting team to see take the field for the first time and this year is no different.
Unfortunately, Tony Romo may see only a short amount of time in this game, as he has been suffering from pain in his throwing arm.
However, I am interested to see the dynamic between Owens and his former teammates, as this is the first time he will face the Dallas Cowboys since his departure.
I would love to see what happens if he scores a touchdown against his former ‘boys.’
Even if the game fails to impress, with Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, Floyd Little, John Randle, Dick LeBeau, Jerry Rice, and Emmitt Smith set as Hall of Fame inductees, there is sure to be a swell of emotion and great story telling during the Induction Ceremony.
Overall, this should make for an entertaining game and ceremonial tribute for NFL bettors and fans.
If you are interested in throwing some action on the game, I would go with the Bengals -3 (even) as they probably will keep their starters in the game longer than Dallas.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, are notorious for protecting their best, and the first stringers should barely see any action in this one.
