Even with the best running back in the NFL and Vince Young seemingly back to his old-self at quarterback, the Tennessee Titans are still living in the shadows of AFC South football betting division.

The Colts finished first in the AFC South last season with a 14-2 record, the Houston Texans second (9-7), Tennessee third (8-8) and the Jaguars in last at 7-9.
Although Tennessee showed some upside posting a .500 season, they were unable to compete with their divisional rivals finishing with a 2-4 record in the AFC South.
Over the past two seasons, the Titans transitioned from being a defensively dominant team to an offensively focused squad.
They lost key players like DT Kevin Vickerson, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch, DT Albert Haynesworth and LB Keith Bulluck on defense.
However, a vibrant star in RB Chris Johnson rose as the new identity for the Titans organization in 2009.
But if the Titans’ 2009-10 NFL betting season has taught us anything, it’s that Chris Johnson is unable to win games by himself.
The Titans lost their first six games of the season, leaving them with very little chance of making it into the postseason.
Unfortunately, Tennessee’s defense is simply still too weak to help the Titans qualify for the playoffs this year.
Last season they allowed 258.7 passing yards per game, 31st in the league. In addition, their offense lacks the talent to compete against the Colts and stronger teams in the AFC.
Their biggest threat at wideout is Justin Gage, who does not even compare to fellow divisional receivers like Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson or even Mike Sims-Walker.
To make matters worse, the NFL has blessed the Titans with the second hardest schedule this NFL betting season.
NFL Betting Prediction: Pick the Tennessee Titans (+250) to place second in the AFC South.
The Titans will eclipse the Texans this upcoming football betting season for the second spot behind the Indianapolis Colts.
