NFL Betting Breakdown – Ten NFL Thoughts Bettors Need Heading into Week 13
November 30, 2010
I may not be on the same level of thinking as the late, great Albert Einstein, BetOnline pro football betting aficionados, but when it comes to talking about professional football, I will put my knowledge up against any NFL handicapper or pro football analyst anywhere.
Having said that, my top 10 thoughts for BetOnline pro football betting enthusiasts heading into Week 13 will, both, entertain and inform devoted BetOnline NFL Sportsbook betting enthusiasts everywhere.

1. Falcons and Bears, Oh My!
Maybe it’s me, but I’m suddenly thinking the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons are both very legitimate NFC betting title contenders BetOnline pro football betting enthusiasts. The Bears are ranked second in points allowed this season (15.6 ppg) while the Falcons rank an identical seventh in points per game (25.1) and points allowed (19.0).
2. Indy Running on Empty!
Would someone please tell the Indianapolis Colts that running the football – and stopping the run – are both actual parts of an NFL football game? The Colts rank an identical 30th in both categories, averaging just 82.6 rushing yards per contest while giving up a whopping 136.0 per contest defensively.
3. Tennessee Two-Step!
I could be very wrong here, but I’m going to say that the Tennessee Titans need to part ways with both, head coach Jeff Fisher and enigmatic quarterback Vince Young. To be totally honest about it, neither has set the league on fire in recent years – and I’m sick and tired of what has become an annual display of underachieving at its very best.
4. By-Bye Josh McDaniels!
Not only has the Broncos young head coach failed to turn around the fortunes of his franchise like some other coaches that are inside of their first three seasons with their respective franchises, but McDaniels had to take the blame for some illegal filming of the 49ers this week and generally looks like a beaten man as his team gives up tons of points each and every time out. Still, I think the man is a gifted offensive coordinator.
5. Oh, Oakland!
I’m thinking the Oakland Raiders are toast from here on in NFL Sports betting buffs after suffering two straight blowout losses to the Steelers (35-3) in Week 11 before getting smacked around by Miami 33-17 on Sunday.
6. Carson Not Cutting it Anymore!
Is it me or does it suddenly look like Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer is finished being a starting quarterback in the NFL? The once-feared signal-caller now looks like a shell of the outstanding passer he used to be just a couple of years ago.
7. Fitzpatrick for President!
Is it me or does Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick suddenly look like a genuine keeper? The seventh-year veteran has thrown for over 250 yards in four of Buffalo’s last six games while leading the team to two wins – and four, 3-point losses, three of which came in overtime.
8. Mindless Minnesota!
The Minnesota Vikings are total idiots for continuing to start Brett Favre because they are holding out hop of reaching the playoffs. The bottom line is that Favre is not a part of their future and they need to find out if Tavaris Jackson is really the long-term answer for them or not as soon as possible.
9. Keeping Kitna!
Is it me, or does veteran Dallas quarterback Jon Kitna look like he has better command of the Cowboys offense than Tony Romo ever did? He’s not nearly the athlete that Romo is, but he also doesn’t choke up at the most inopportune times!
10. Two Cheers for Chan!
Last but not least, I’ve got to apologize to Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey after ripping the respected coach nearly all season for being overmatched in his return as a head coach nearly a decade after leading the Dallas Cowboys for two seasons. I give credit where credit is due, and Gailey has turned the Bills into a team that plays hard for all 60 minutes – and one I am expecting to have better results as early as next season as they are totally due for some good luck after their plethora of heartbreaking losses this season.
