NFL Betting Advice – NFC West Takes Shape on Sunday
October 3, 2010
The NFC West has been wide open for years now and the best NFL Betting Advice that I can give is to go with the team that has the least amount of distractions, the least amount of turmoil and the least amount of injuries to win the division. Sounds simple doesn’t it? The Cardinals have no identity, the 49ers are in disarray and the Rams have injuries to one of the few weapons that they have on the team. That leaves the solid Seahawks who should win on Sunday and could claim a division title.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (2-1) vs. ST. LOUIS RAMS (1-2)

St. Louis, Missouri
Broadcast: FOX
NFL Betting Advice Lines:
Seattle: -1 (-110)
St. Louis: +1 (-110)

Total: 40 points
If much of the NFL Betting advice came to fruition, the Seattle Seahawks would be 1-2 or 0-3 right now. Impressive victories at home have the Hawks in first place in the NFC West. However, this is a totally different team on the road as demonstrated by their Week 2 beat down at the hands of the Denver Broncos. The Seattle Seahawks are 3-16 S/U on the road in their last 19 game (2 of those wins came at the Edward Jones Dome).

Seattle is void of playmakers in their passing game and is ranked 21st in the NFL because of it. Leader Matt Hasselbeck has been OK so far this season but has only four touchdown passes and five interceptions. Hasselbeck has done well against St. Louis but he’s always had more than Mike Williams, Deon Branch and Deon Butler to throw to.
Justin Forsett is finally starting to show signs of life in the Seattle backfield. He will be facing a Rams defense that gave up 5.1 yards per carry last week against a geriatric Redskins running game.
The St. Louis Rams finally won a game! My NFL Betting advice – don’t expect a winning streak to start on Sunday. Seattle has a better defense than Washington and the fact that Steven Jackson is unlikely to be 100% is a bad omen for a Rams team that lost 13 straight home games before last week. It’s true that their two losses this year were by a combined six points, but they still have a ton of work to do.
Sam Bradford is coming along nicely. He has been taking care of the ball and he’s giving his team a chance to win every week. Mark Clayton has been a god send for the Rams who have nothing outside of him.
NFL Betting Advice Outlook:
Seattle is 6-0 ATS in their last six games against the Rams and is 5-0 S/U and 4-1ATS in their last five trips to St. Louis. However, the Seahawks are a miserable 3-16 S/U on the road in their last 19.
St. Louis is 1-13 S/U in their last 14 games, is 8-15 ATS at home in their last 23 games and is 0-5 ATS in their last five as home underdog. The odds favorite is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings.
The St. Louis Rams have a lot to look forward to but with Kenneth Darby subbing for Steven Jackson, their chances at a second straight win are not good. Seattle is a decent football team and should win despite their hideous road record.
