NFL Best Under Teams – Don’t Fear the Under – BET IT

September 20, 2011

I’m not an Under guy, I don’t like being an Under guy, and I fight being an Under guy every time, but ohohohoho are there some NFL Best Under Teams for this regular season.

The NFL has always been known for parody, but many of the teams I am going to talk about here are staying at the bottom of a steaming heap again this year.

These are three gimmees for going under their total for wins this season:

Cincinnati Bengals
Even with one of the easiest schedules this year, this hapless team doesn’t have the weapons or even the ammo if they did. This team is like Captain Crunch taking on General Macarthur when they play teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers twice.

I expect the Bengals offense to finish in the bottom 3 in total offense this year and dead last in passing. They don’t even have any wide receivers to speak of even if they DID have a quarterback I would consider above college level.

I would expect you Cincinnati fans already suspect that this is going to be a looooonguuuuuuglyyeeeeaaaaaaaaar.

Bet Cincinnati Bengals Under 5.5 (-150) Regular Season Wins

Seattle Seahawks
The quarterback situation here is ridiculous and sad. This doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story, but if you pin your hopes on Tarvaris Jackson (soon to be Charlie Whitehurst) to lead, good luck scoring much less winning.

It’s embarrassing enough that the Seahawks made the NFL Playoffs with a losing record last year representing the WORST division in the 2010 season, the NFC West. Now they don’t have a clue on a general to make sense of that mess.

This team was only 2 games ahead of the last place Arizona Cardinals last year, and I don’t expect them to get much more than 2 WINS this year. It’s worth paying the -210 on this bet.

Bet Seattle Seahawks Under 6.5 (-210) Regular Season Wins

Jacksonville Jaguars
There are only 2 teams with tougher schedules than them based on last year’s win-loss record, and last time I checked they didn’t make any major moves to even stay even. They were a 50-50 team last year at 8-8, and in Blackjack you should always split 8’s. Well they’re going to split that 8 in two for a maximum of 4 wins this year.

David Garrard will still show some flair, and I believe Blaine Gabbert is going to develop into a stud quarterback. It just won’t happen before the end of this year, and that is simply TOO LATE!
They closed the season last year with 3 losses, and I expect them to open with 2 more in a row against the TennesseeTitans and New York Jets. I give them a 40% shot at winning week 3 at Carolina.

Bet Jacksonville Jaguars Under 6.5 (-130) Regular Season Wins

I hope I haven’t made your best plays to bet these Unders too Over-whelming for you even keeled NFL super fans.
