New-Look Teams Meet as Knicks Host Raptors
February 22, 2009
The Toronto Raptors (21-35 SU, 21-33-2 ATS, 31-25 O/U) had their modest two-game winning streak snapped the last time they took the floor, losing 93-76 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday as 7.5-point home underdogs while the 169 combined points fell UNDER the posted O/U total of 191.
The New York Knicks (22-31 SU, 31-22 ATS, 26-27 O/U) won as 5.5-point home underdogs on Tuesday, beating the San Antonio Spurs 112-107 in overtime to cover the spread as 4-point home underdogs in the BetOnline Sportsbook while the game played over the 207-point O/U total.
Veteran forward Joey Graham scored a team-high 15 points in the loss while newly acquired forward Shawn Marion added 10 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in his first game with the Raptors.
Blossoming point guard Nate Robinson scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds off the bench to lift the Knicks to victory while Chris Duhon and Wilson Chandler each added 17 points in the win.

NBA Odds
Toronto Raptors +3½ -110
New York Knicks -3½ -110
Over 214 -110
Under 214 -110
Analysis: While the New York Knicks play absolutely no defense whatsoever, they can score the ball better than almost any team in basketball these days and I fully expect them to outscore the struggling Raptors in this contest at home despite making a plethora of roster-altering moves in the last two days.
While all-star forward Chris Bosh should be back on the floor for Toronto tonight, I say take the high-scoring Knicks to win and cover because of their ‘seven seconds or less’ offense.
NBA Free Picks: Knicks -3½ Points/Under 214 Total Points
