The Nevada Wolf pack is back in the Top 25 and this time they are looking to stay there with a win over the Idaho Vandals.

The Wolfpack were climbing the rankings after six straight wins but a loss to Hawaii left them on the outside looking in.

The Idaho Vandals are coming off a loss to Hawaii that’s dropped them to 4-4. Let’s look at the odds and teams before we bet on the football game.

The Wolf Pack is 7-1 on the season but for those who bet on football, Nevada is only 3-5 against the spread. It’s due in large part to the Wolf Pack’s high-powered offense and that the odds makers set the lines higher than they need to compensate.

That offense is led by the dynamic duo of quarterback Colin Kaepernick and running back Vai Taua. The pair is the main reasons that Nevada ranks third in the nation in total offensive yards (520.1), 5th in rushing yards (300.9) and 7th in points scored (41.9).

Kaepernick is completing 68.1% of his passes for 1670 yards, 12 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He’s always a threat to run as evident in his 771 rushing yards and team leading, 13 rushing TDs.
Vai Taua has 928 rushing yards with 13 total touchdowns.

The Wolf Pack score a lot and but they give up a ton too. They give up 22.8 points per game, which ranks them 51st in the nation. Nevada is a respectable 30th against the run but against the pass, they rank 104th overall.

The Idaho Vandals are 4-4 straight up and against the spread. Bettors who bet on the football Vandals are losers of four of the past five games after winning three straight to start the season.

It doesn’t look like it will get better for the Vandals as after the Wolf Pack, they host to the Boise State Broncos.

Offensively, quarterback Nathan Enderle has 2260 passing yards on the season with 16 TDs and 12 interceptions. Idaho ranks fourth in the nation with 335.5 yards per game.

A couple of trends to consider is the Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a road favorite of more than 10½ points. The Vandals are 5-1 ATS in their past six as a home underdog.
Head-to-head, the Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their past five meetings with the Vandals.

I like how the Vandals passing offense matches up against the Wolf Pack defense, it will give Idaho the perfect situation to keep the game within 10 points Saturday. Bet on the football Vandals plus the points.

NCAAF Betting Pick: Idaho Vandals +11½
