NCAAF Betting Tips – Always Bet Against The New Mexico Lobos

Every week a few of my buddies call me looking for wily NCAAF betting tips, and if I don’t care to talk to them at the moment, the easiest advice I can give is “Bet against the New Mexico Lobos”. Sure, it’s lazy advice but it’s only missed once this year. New Mexico will visit the San Diego State Aztecs trying to prove me wrong again, and as always they’re going to fail.

New Mexico has been caught in a free fall this year and I’ve pegged them as one of the worst teams in the country. That’s why San Diego State’s head-to-head record of 2-8 SU and ATS shouldn’t scare anybody hoping to take the Aztecs this weekend.

Sometimes, when a low level team has a big spread you hope and pray that they cover. But New Mexico is just 1-5 ATS this year after clearing the number last weekend against New Mexico State. And yes, they cleared the -2.5 point spread by a half-point so don’t get too excited.

While this has traditionally been a tough matchup for the San Diego State Aztecs, my NCAAF betting tip is to take them on the line no matter what. They’re a stout 4-1 ATS this season and their defense is ranked as one of the best in the country. San Diego State gives up just 17.3 points per game.

Teams have had all sorts of trouble putting points on the board with the Aztecs. Their defensive stats are slightly overblown considering the strength of their competition, but the fact they held Air Force to just 25-points tells me a lot about how dynamic their defense can be if pushed to the limit.

That’s why the Aztecs have posted a 1-4 record in the over/under. Contributing to that is the fact that New Mexico averages just 12.5 points per game. As the worst team in college football pick, take this NCAAF betting tip and side with San Diego State to roll in this game while holding New Mexico to a couple field goals.
