August 22, 2010
As the 2010 NCAA football betting season nears, BetOnline has analyzed the top college quarterbacks in the nation and what these players could potentially mean for their respective teams.
As the leader of the team, a healthy and strong quarterback can make or break a season.
Case Keenum: In his last collegiate season, Houston quarterback Case Keenum is expected to rake up huge amounts of passing yards this season.

As Houston plays in Conference USA, the Cougars should route the conference, but Keenum’s true tests will come in the matchups against stronger programs, such as Texas Tech, Mississippi State, and last but not least, UCLA. If Keenum carries the Cougars through these tight games, he could even make himself a Heisman Trophy contender.
Jerrod Johnson: In his junior season as the quarterback for the mighty Texas A&M Aggies, Johnson showed flashes of true talent, and this looks to be his season to shine. Last season, this strong arm threw for over 300 yards in six different games.
With the Aggie offense built around him, this player could push his team for a top spot in the Big 12 conference.
Terrelle Pryor: Of course, there is also Terrelle Pryor, the junior from Ohio State, who the entire nation is expecting to carry the Buckeyes to the National Championship this season. Coming off a Rose Bowl victory and MVP award, this season is wide open for Pryor to shine.
Jake Locker: This player was expected to enter the NFL Draft, but decided to forgo it for another season in Seattle. Locker is very athletic and has the leadership abilities to pull his team together, especially since he will be playing with perhaps the stronger squad in his tenure at Washington. Many scouts believe he is already NFL-ready, so he should play a dominating role in the PAC 10 conference.
Kellen Moore: With a strong offensive line and a backfield stacked with talented receivers, Moore should have no problem breaking records and scoring touchdowns this season. Entering his junior season, Moore was a First Team All-American last year, and led his team over the favored TCU Horned Frogs in the Fiesta Bowl 17-10 with no mistakes and a 78-yard touchdown drive for the win.
Keep an eye on these quarterbacks, among others, when placing your NCAA football bets for the 2010 season.
