Two teams from the highly-underrated Mountain West Conference will lock up on Saturday when the UNLV Rebels travel to Utah for a game against the Utes in an NCAA football betting line game that could be the last meeting in a while between the two schools.

Everyone knows that Utah is one of the better mid-major teams in the NCAA, if you want to call the Mountain West a mid-major league that is.

Utah has been excellent against big-name opponents and has more than proved themselves in games against top teams with wins over programs like Alabama, Michigan, and Pittsburgh in a BCS bowl game in the past decade.

UNLV is trying to reach a similar level and this will be a big test for them in Saturday’s college football game, but the Rebels have a long way to go to reach the Utes’ level. Utah beat Pittsburgh in a close one in their opening game and now they can roll into their league schedule with some easier matchups.

Utah dominated UNLV on the road last year by a score of 35-15 and it seems from the opening weekend’s action that the Rebels are not quite as good as they were last year.

While they hung around with Wisconsin for a while, they were still badly outgained for most of the game in terms of yardage before the Badgers pulled away and put a Big Ten beatdown on them in their own backyard.

Against Utah, a team with a more dynamic offensive scheme and similar talent, there’s no way that the Rebels can even keep this game close.
