NBA Week 25 Hot Or Not – Cold Teams Rule Final Regular Season ATS List

April 12, 2010

With the 2009-10 NBA regular season coming to a close in a matter of mere days, avid pro basketball betting buffs have just a few more opportunities to boost their annual NBA betting bankroll with some more regular season wagering.

This final regular season look at the hottest and coldest ATS teams in the league should go a long way toward helping NBA gamblers zero in on which teams are likely to cover the NBA betting line in their respective contests this week and which ones are not.

With a nearly full slate of pro basketball action taking pace tonight, let me get busy.

Hot – These teams have covered the NBA betting line in at least four of their last five games.

Detroit 5-0 ATS
The Pistons don’t have a thing left to play for, but apparently they were waiting for the final two weeks of the regular season to start covering the NBA betting spread consistently. Three wins in the last five games have translated into a perfect 5-0 ATS mark over the span.

Orlando 4-1 ATS
The red-hot Magic have won four straight and seven of its last eight games while covering the NBA betting line in four straight games and going an impressive 5-1-1 ATS over the last seven games overall.

Not – These teams have failed to cover the NBA betting line in at least four of their last five games.

Atlanta 1-4 ATS
Atlanta may have won two consecutive games heading into tonight’s contests, but the Hawks have gone just 1-4 ATS over the last five games despite snapping a four-game ATS losing streak against Washington on Sunday.

Minnesota 1-4 ATS
The lowly T-Wolves have lost three consecutive games while failing to cover the NBA betting odds in each loss while going 1-4 ATS over the last five games overall.

Sacramento 1-4 ATS
The Kings have been mostly competitive in what is the first step toward rebuilding the team back into a winning franchise this season. Still, the young ballclub has largely struggled to cover the NBA point spread lately, going 1-4 ATS over the last five games and just 3-6-1 ATS over the last 10 games overall.

Toronto 1-4 ATS
The Raptors are on their last legs as they fight for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Toronto has lost five straight games while going a depressing 1-4 ATS over the stretch which follows a five-game ATS winning streak.

Charlotte 1-4 ATS
Despite winning three of four and securing the first winning season – and postseason berth – in franchise history, the Bobcats have largely struggled to cover the spread, going a bankroll-breaking 1-5 ATS over the last six games and just 2-6 ATS over the last eight games overall.

Memphis 1-4 ATS
The Grizzlies have fallen off in a big way as they seek to record the first winning record in franchise history. Memphis has last seven of its last nine games while going an identical 2-5 ATS over the span. The Grizzlies need one more regular season victory in order to finish with a dead-even record at the very least.
