NBA Wagering – Grizzlies at Timberwolves
March 12, 2009
After going 3-1 (75.0 percent) with my handicapping mark in the Tuesday, BetOnline NBA sports betting members should know to ride a hot hand when they see it.
The Memphis Grizzlies (16-46 SU, 26-35-1 ATS, 30-32 O/U) have lost two consecutive games, including its 93-83 road loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday. The Grizzlies did manage to cover the spread as a 14-point underdog while the combined score fell Under the posted over/under total (196). Forward Rudy Gay led Memphis with 21 points while rookie center Marc Gasol added 18 points.
The Minnesota Timberwolves (18-45 SU, 27-35-1 ATS, 33-28-2 O/U) have lost a whopping 10 straight games including its 110-99 loss to the Washington Wizards on Monday night.
Overachieving forward Ryan Gomes scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed six rebounds for Minnesota in a losing effort as the T-Wolves failed to cash in for NBA betting backers as a 4-point road underdog while the game played over the 204-point O/U total.
Here is a look at tonight’s key betting trends, followed by my in-depth analysis and NBA Free Pick.
Memphis is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games on the road

NBA Odds
Memphis Grizzlies -2 -110
Minnesota Timberwolves +2 -110
Over 199 -110
Under 199 -110
Analysis: While the Minnesota Timberwolves have covered the spread in three straight contests against the Grizzlies, I like Memphis to bounce back tonight against a Minnesota team that has clearly packed it in and is looking forward to the end of their regular season in the worst way after losing its top two players in Al Jefferson and Randy Foye.
Take the Grizzlies to cover the spread for the fifth consecutive game with the outright road win NBA sports betting fanatics.
