NBA Trends Bulls @ Bobcats
December 17, 2008
The Chicago Bulls (11-12 SU, 11-12 ATS, 10-12-1 O/U) have won three of their last four games in the BetOnline Sportsbook and snapped a five-game ATS winless drought for BetOnline NBA sports betting buffs the last time they took the court.
The Charlotte Bobcats (7-17 SU, 13-11 ATS, 8-15-1 O/U) have dropped seven straight games, but have covered the spread in two of their last three contests.
Tonight, both ballclubs will be looking to pick up a win for BetOnline NBA online betting backers when they meet at Time Warner Cable Arena.
The Bulls are coming off a solid 113-104 win over the New Jersey on Saturday, covering the spread for backers as a 4.5-point home favorite in the process as Ben Gordon scored 29 points and Derek Rose added 22 points and both guards dished out six assists.
Still, the Bulls are just 3-9 on the road this season.
"Consistent play by our guys is going to determine how far we get this season," Chicago guard Ben Gordon said.
Gordon is averaging a team-leading 20.9 points per game contests while Rose, the No.1 overall draft pick this season, is averaging 18.2 points, 6.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.
"He’s a solid player," New Jersey guard Devin Harris said. "He reminds me a lot of myself. I think he is going to be a great player."
The Bobcats are coming off a close 83-79 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, but covered the spread for NBA sports betting enthusiasts as an 8.5-point road underdog.
Charlotte got 25 points from forward Boris Diaw in his second game since acquiring the multi-talented player from the Phoenix Suns last week. Forward Gerald Wallace added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
"We played well enough to win," Charlotte coach Larry Brown said. "We had a bad ending in the third period and then we couldn’t make a shot the last 15 minutes of the game. We’ve lost a lot of games like this, in the fourth quarter. We’ve played well enough defensively to win the game. We just can’t find ways to get the ball in the basket."

Analysis: The Chicago Bulls may have the better record and the more talented team overall, but I like the Charlotte Bobcats to come up with a huge win tonight as they begin getting adjusted to their new players. Besides, proven veterans, Raja Bell and Boris Diaw will also help the young Bobcats grow up in a big way.
