NBA Sunday – Picks on Big Betting Matchups
May 9, 2010
The NBA is getting to the stage where we have to be really serious about our picks and the way we see the games.
Rivalries and hate can change the pace of the game, as well as angry crowds with screams and referees.
This is a stage where the contenders step up and the pretenders go home.
These are my picks for the Sunday NBA games.
Cleveland- 3:30 pm EDT
Boston- ABC
During the playoffs the Garden is untouchable, think about it, many angry –probably drunk- fans screaming at LeBron and the referees don’t look like a good picture for Cleveland.
Plus NBA betting enthusiasts should know despite that the Cavs always seem to be a tough match for the Celtics, this series has looked the complete opposite. Right know there is no one on that Cleveland roster that can guard Rajon Rondo.
Rondo is making everybody better in Boston and at the same time is making Mo Williams look soft.
Expect Rashed Wallace to keep being the X factor in this one.
My pick: Boston.
Phoenix- 8:00 pm EDT
San Antonio- TNT
Over the past years this hasn’t been a rivalry, as San Antonio have owned the Suns every single time they have faced each other. However everything looks different now.
Starting with a 2-0 lead in the series against the Spurs is so unusual for the Suns that I think even they are a bit surprised.
But you must remember a factor not many people talk about; at the end of the regular season, Phoenix had a chance to go to Utah and lose to clinch a better matchup in the first round against Denver, and they decided to play and kicked the Jazz’s butt.
After that game, Grant Hill said that he hasn’t played on a team with better chemistry before. Would that be enough to beat the black beast called San Antonio? I really don’t think so.
The Spurs have champion-style players on their roster and they won’t fail at home.
My pick: Spurs. >> Join NOW
