NBA Sportsbook – San Antonio, Portland, Charlotte Start Friday Night Hoops Action

February 11, 2011

The San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trailblazers and Charlotte Bobcats start a great night of basketball betting action in the sportsbook on Feb. 11th.

San Antonio battles tough Philadelphia on the road while the Trailblazers take on the horrible Toronto Raptors and the Bobcats host awful New Jersey.  Check out a preview of each early Friday night game below.

Feb. 11th– NBA Games – Early

** Records and stats not counting Thursday night games.

San Antonio Spurs (44-8) at Philadelphia 76’ers (24-28)

Where:  Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

When:  7:00 pm EST

Fair NBA Odds:  Philadelphia +4 ½

Analysis:  The trends are all over both of these teams in this contest.  San Antonio is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games after playing on 1 day of rest.  The 76’ers are 8 and 2 versus the online NBA spread in their last 10 games versus a team with a winning straight up record.  The Spurs are 4 and 0 ATS in their last 4 games overall; Philly is 7 and 1 ATS in their last 8 games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600.  The bottom line for me is that Philly on Friday will be the Spurs’ 6th straight road game.  I’ve got to back the 76’ers on Friday night.

Portland Trailblazers (28-24) at Toronto Raptors (14-39)

Where:  Air Canada Center, Toronto, Ontario

When:  7:00 pm EST

Fair NBA Odds:  Toronto moneyline

Analysis:  Toronto is only 1 and 9 on the NBA moneyline odds in their last 10 games.  They face a team in the ‘Blazers, however, that they could possibly upset on Friday night.  Portland has won 2 games in a row including upsetting the Chicago Bulls 109 to 103 in their last as 2 ½ point home dogs.  Two victories in a row are about all that Portland can probably handle right now with so many injuries on their squad.  Toronto looks due for a win and the Trailblazers are actually 1 and 2 in their last 2 road games with the lone victory coming versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.  I’ll take a shot on Toronto on the moneyline in this contest.

New Jersey Nets (16-37) at Charlotte Bobcats (22-30)

Where:  Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, North Carolina

When:  7:00 pm EST

Fair NBA Odds:  Charlotte -5 ½

Analysis:  The Bobcats are only 1 and 2 ATS in their last 2 home games but the 3 teams that they’ve faced in those last 3 home games have been Miami, Dallas and Boston.  The Bobcats upset Boston versus both the online NBA spread and on the moneyline odds by beating the Men in Green 94 to 89 straight up on Feb. 7th.  New Jersey beat New Orleans 103 to 101 in overtime in their last but N.O. is in dire straights with both Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor out.  The Nets are 0 and 4 ATS in their last 4 road games making it easier than ever to back the Bobcats in this matchup.
