NBA Sportsbook – Lakers vs. Dallas, Oklahoma City vs. Denver Highlight Late Action

The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Dallas Mavericks as basketball betting favorites and Oklahoma City travels to Denver to battle the Nuggets in the two marquee games on Wednesday, January 19th.

Jan. 19th – NBA Games – Late

Los Angeles Lakers (31-12) at Dallas Mavericks (26-14)

Where:  American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas

When:  9:00 pm EST

NBA Odds:  Dallas +3   

Analysis:  68% of basketball betting handicappers are backing the Lakers in this matchup on Wednesday night.  I’m not sure why.  L.A. has won 8 out of their last 10 games, but they’ve gone 4-5-1 against the spread in those 10 games.  They’ve gone 1 and 3 ATS in their last 4 games and didn’t pull away from the Oklahoma City Thunder in their 101 to 94 victory until late in the game.  The Mavericks have gone 2 and 8 straight up and versus the spread in their last 10 games.  They’re going to bounce back eventually and Dirk Nowitzki, who had missed a ton of games because of a knee injury, was back to his usual self in Dallas’s last, an 89 to 103 loss to Detroit, when scoring 32 points and grabbing 5 boards and dishing 5 assists.  The Mavericks could surprise L.A. on Wednesday night. 

Oklahoma City Thunder (27-14) at Denver Nuggets (23-17)

Where:  Pepsi Center, Denver, Colorado

When:  9:00 pm EST

NBA Odds:  Oklahoma City +3 ½       

Analysis:  Denver has been on a real tear lately going 3 and 1 straight up and against the basketball odds spread in the sportsbook in their last 4 games.  The 3 victories were against Phoenix, Miami and Cleveland.  Phoenix and Cleveland don’t really count and the Nuggets did lose their last game to San Antonio 97 to 110 as a 7-point road dog. 

Oklahoma City is a very good squad.  They’ve gone 4 and 1 ATS and straight up in their last 5 games.  They’ve also gone 8 and 2 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams and beat Denver 114 to 106 the last time the two teams met.  Think about backing the Thunder on the NBA moneyline in the sportsbook is my suggestion.    

Minnesota T’Wolves (10-32) at L.A. Clippers (15-25)

Where:  Staples Center, Los Angeles, California

When:  10:30 pm EST

NBA Odds:  Clippers -7        

Analysis:  The Griffin Clipps have been money in the NBA sportsbook lately going 5 and 1 ATS in their last 6 games. They’ve also gone 5 and 1 straight up in those last 6 games and put a 99 to 92 beat down on the Lakers as 5-point underdogs two games ago.  Blake Griffin scored 47 points, dished 3 assists and grabbed 14 boards in the Clippers last game, a 114 to 107 victory over the Indiana Pacers.  The man can dominate anybody in the NBA.  He figures to dominate T’Wolves forward Kevin Love on Wednesday night. 

Love is averaging 21.2 points and 15.7 boards per game, but he doesn’t have the speed that Griffin does.  Another victory straight up and ATS for Griffendore on January 19th appears to be feasible.
