NBA Props Picks – Cash In On Red-Hot Suns Player Props Odds

May 17, 2010

Two-time league MVP Steve Nash and the red-hot Phoenix Suns will be looking to take down Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series when they meet at the Staples Center tonight at 9 PM ET.

Monday, May 17, 9:00 PM ET
TV: TNT
Radio: Sirius 211 XM, 212 XM

Nash and the Suns have surprised pro basketball observers everywhere by reaching the conference finals, particularly with the emphatic way they took out the veteran-laden San Antonio Spurs in sweeping the arch rivals in the second round.

Tonight, NBA gamblers have an excellent opportunity to boost the annual pro basketball betting bankroll by nailing three props odds picks centered on Nash and two of his Suns teammates.

With tip-off time just hours away, let me get busy.

Steve Nash Total Points and Assists
Over 26½ Pts+Assists -125
Under 26½ Pts+Assists -105
Analysis: Nash is averaging 17.8 points and 9.0 assists in 10 playoff games and I expect him to equal or improve on both of those averages at the least against the Lakers in this series despite averaging just 13.7 points and 9.0 assists against L.A. during the regular season. The bottom line is that Nash is the player that makes the Suns go and without some stellar performances from him, the Suns likely don’t stand a chance against the two-time conference champs. I like the Over here for Nash, even though I will admit that it’s going to be a very close call.
Expert NBA Picks: Over 26½ Pts+Assists

Amare Stoudemire Total Points
Over 22½ Pts -115
Under 22½ Pts -115
Analysis: Stoudemire is averaging 23.1 points per game in the playoffs and has topped 22 points in three of his last four games. The explosive power forward averaged just 20.2 points against L.A. during the regular season, but has looked far more explosive during the postseason and I believe he will reach 23 points by using his superior quickness to beat Pau Gasol either off the dribble or in pick-and-roll situations with Steve Nash.
Expert NBA Picks: Over 22½ Pts

Jason Richardson Total Points
Over 15½ Pts -125
Under 15½ Pts -105
Analysis: Richardson averaged a paltry 8.7 points per game against L.A. during the regular season, but has been the Suns’ most important player during the postseason as he averages a team-high 21.9 points per game in the postseason. With Richardson looking like a totally different player than he was during the regular season – and now realizing how important he is to the Suns’ success, I think this pick is as close to a lock as it gets. Play the Over for J-Rich here NBA gamblers.
