May 11, 2010
Tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics will meet in Game 5 of their second round Eastern Conference semifinal series and NBA bettors could potentially boost the annual betting bankroll by nailing at least one of the entertaining NBA Props Odds surrounding
Celtics blossoming point guard Rajon Rondo and his Celtics teammates.

NBA Betting Odds: Cavaliers -7.5
(O/U) 194.5
TV: TNT
Radio: Sirius 211 XM
Pro basketball betting enthusiasts saw Rondo deliver a mind-blowing performance against the Cavaliers that the NBA hasn’t seen in a whopping 43 years – and has only been accomplished by two men in the long and glorious history of the league, NBA legends Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson.
With those thoughts in mind – and tip-off time for tonight’s contest quickly approaching, let me get started.
Kevin Garnett Total Points
Over 17½ Pts -105
Under 17½ Pts -125
Analysis: Let’s see … KG has scored at least 18 points in every single game in this series – and I’ve got to admit it’s kind of funny seeing his scoring O/U total so low, but if it’s free, it’s for me! Play the Over for the Big Ticket on this one.
NBA Expert Picks: Over 17½ Pts
Kevin Garnett Total Rebounds
Over 8½ Rebs -115
Under 8½ Rebs -115
Analysis: After grabbing 10 rebounds in each of the first two games, Garnett has pulled down just 10 total boards over the last two games. Garnett has hauled in 10 rebounds or more in half of his last six games, so I’d say there’s a 50-50 chance that he gets 10 rebounds – and I believe he will, since Rajon Rondo is not pulling down another 18 rebounds.
NBA Expert Picks: Over 8½ Rebs
Ray Allen Total Points and Assists
Over 18½ Pts +Assists -115
Under 18½ Pts +Assists -115
Analysis: Allen is averaging 17.6 points per game in the postseason and has topped the set O/U total for this Props pick in two of four games in alternating performances against the Cavaliers. With Cleveland undoubtedly set to focus on Rajon Rondo more after his Game 4 performance, I say Allen gets a couple of more free shots than normal and tops the O/U total here.
NBA Expert Picks: Over 18½ Pts +Assists
Rajon Rondo Total Points, Rebounds and Assists
Over 36½ Pts+Rebs+Assists -115
Under 36½ Pts+Rebs+Assists -115
Analysis: Rondo is averaging a team-high 17.9 points per game this postseason, not to mention 11.4 assists and 7.1 rebounds for a combined total of 36.4 points, rebounds and assists, but I don’t see him approaching these numbers tonight as the Cavs put the clamps on him in a big way.
NBA Expert Picks: Under 36½ Pts+Rebs+Assists
