NBA Props Betting – Duncan, Nash, Props Picks and More Spurs, Suns Props

May 4, 2010

Will ‘Timmy’ put up a double-double or will Amare Stoudemire take it to the ‘Big Fundamental’ when the two all-star power forwards square off in Game 1 of their second round playoff series tonight?

Monday, May 3, 10:30 PM ET
NBA Betting Odds: Suns -4
(O/U) 203.5
TV: TNT

NBA betting enthusiasts will have all of those questions answered and much more with thanks to this breakdown on some of my favorite props picks on the board for tonight’s matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns which gets underway at the US Airways Center at 10:30 PM ET.

With tip-off time for tonight’s matchup just hours away, let me get started.

Tim Duncan Total Points
Over 20½ Pts -115
Under 20½ Pts -115
Analysis: ‘Timmy’ is averaging 18.2 points per game this postseason but put up 25 points or more in three of six games against the Blazers in the first round. Duncan should be good for 21 points at the least against the Suns and their minimal defense.
Expert NBA Picks: Over 20½ Pts

Manu Ginobili Total Points
Over 19½ Pts -135
Under 19½ Pts +105
Analysis: Ginobili is averaging 19.0 points per game in the playoffs but should easily top that mark as the Suns play little to no defense whatsoever. Simple and plain, play the ‘Over’ as Ginobili repeatedly gets to the hoop with those freakish left-handed drives.
Expert NBA Picks: Over 19½ Pts

Amare Stoudemire Total Points and Rebounds
Over 32½ Pts+Rebs -135
Under 32½ Pts+Rebs +105
Analysis: Stoudemire is averaging 20.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds and will be going up against the defensively sound Tim Duncan tonight. Stoudemire shoots and scores, but he doesn’t rebound very well and won’t top this set O/U total tonight.
Expert NBA Picks: Under 32½ Pts+Rebs

Steve Nash Total Assists
Over 10½ Assists -105
Under 10½ Assists -125
Analysis: Nash is averaging just 9.8 assist per game in the playoffs and comes into tonight’s contest still a bit banged-up. The man that makes the Suns offense go didn’t top 10 assist in any of the last three games against the Blazers and I think the Spurs stop him from getting 11 dimes tonight as well.
Expert NBA Picks: Under 10½ Assists

Grant Hill Total Points and Rebounds
Over 16½ Pts+Rebs -125
Under 16½ Pts+Rebs -105
Analysis: Hill is averaging 16.3 combined points and rebounds through six postseason games and only topped this set O/U total once in his last three games against the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round. I say Hill stays just Under the total here as the Spurs slow this gamed won just a bit in order to take away the Suns’ potent up-tempo style of play.
Expert NBA Free Picks: Under 16½ Pts+Rebs

Winning Margin
Analysis: NBA betting enthusiasts that like the Suns to win this game, may want to look at my pick of a Suns win by 3-6 points which is offering pro basketball gamblers a whopping +550 return. No matter which way bettors go with this pick, it’s going to be a bankroll-boosting wager for the pro hoops bettor that can nail this pick correctly.
Expert NBA Picks: Suns By 3-6 Points
