NBA Lock Alert!!! Spurs vs Raptors

February 11, 2009

The San Antonio Spurs (35-15 SU, 25-23-2 ATS, 24-25-1 O/U) look like they are in the process of making a strong second-half run at the Western Conference title and come into tonight’s contest having won two straight and five of its last six overall.

The Toronto Raptors (20-34 SU, 20-32-2 ATS, 31-23 O/U) snapped their six-game losing streak on Tuesday night just as I predicted in BetOnline Locker Room.

Tonight, the Spurs will look to keep their winning ways going against the underachieving Raptors.

All-star power forward Tim Duncan had 27 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and four blocks while Matt Bonner added 22 points and Tony Parker, 20 points, as the Spurs dumped the Nets 108-93 on Tuesday night.

San Antonio cashed as 5-point road favorites while the game played over the 187.5-point total set by oddsmakers.

Forward Joey Graham scored a team-high 24 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Raptors who also got 22 points from center Jermaine O’Neal as they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-102 on Tuesday night.

Toronto cashed in as 2.5-point road underdogs while the game played over the 194-point total set by oddsmakers.

Here is a look at the key NBA trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NBA Free Picks:

NBA Odds

San Antonio Spurs -6 ½ -110

Toronto Raptors +6 ½ -110

Over 189 ½ -110

Under 189 ½ -110

Analysis: Let me not waste a lot of time dilly-dallying around with this selection as this contest is an absolute lock if you ask me. The San Antonio Spurs are one of the four best teams in the league while the Toronto raptors have underachieved immensely all season long while battling injuries. Playing without all-star forward Chris Bosh, Toronto has absolutely no chance to cover this spread.

NBA Free Picks: Spurs -6 ½ Points/Over 189½ Total Points
