NBA Lock Alert – Jazz at Lakers
April 14, 2009
The Utah Jazz (47-33 SU, 38-42 ATS, 41-38-1O/U) and Los Angeles Lakers, (64-17 SU, 42-39 ATS, 41-39-1O/U) will both be trying to prove something going into the playoffs as they battle at the STAPLES Center tonight at 10:30 PM ET.
The Jazz spanked the lowly Clippers 106-85 Monday night to snap a three-game skid easily covering the spread as 12-point home favorites while the final score played Under the 204-point O/U total.
Veteran forward Carlos Boozer recorded a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds t lead the Jazz to victory.
The Lakers bounced back from a loss in their previous outing to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 92-75 and cover the spread as an 11.5-point home favorite on Sunday.
Young center Andrew Bynum scored a team-high 18 points for the Lakers while the combined score played Under the posted over/under total (201).

Los Angeles Lakers -6½ -110
Over 207 -110
Under 207 -110
Analysis: While the Utah jazz have covered the spread in three of the last five meetings against the Lakers, I don’t think they’re going to cover the spread tonight even though the Lakers will likely rest some of their veteran players at some point in this contest.
The fact of the matter is that, despite picking up a win over the lowly Clippers in their last contest, the Jazz aren’t playing very well right now.
I like the Lakers to cover, and the Over, which may be an even better play for this contest, having played out for NBA sports betting enthusiasts in five consecutive contests.
NBA Free Picks: Over 207 Total Points/Lakers -6½ Points
