Wednesday, January 13 – 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics (26-10 SU, 16-20 ATS, 18-17-1 O/U) are going to be in a foul mood when they host the lowly New Jersey Nets (3-34 SU, 13-24 ATS, 12-22-3 O/U) tonight.
After getting robbed by the officials in Monday night’s 102-96 loss to Atlanta, the Celtics will assuredly take out their frustrations on the Nets tonight.

The Nets have lost five consecutive games and 15 of 16 coming into tonight’s matchup, including a 97-85 loss to San Antonio as a 14-point underdog on Sunday.

Analysis: Boston has won 10 consecutive games against the Nets, but the Nets have covered the NBA money line in three consecutive games. No matter, the Celtics will bring their ATS losing streak against the Nets to an end tonight.
Boston was up by 10 points and thoroughly dominating ht Hawks until officials called Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis for a cheap flagrant foul – and quickly tossed a rightfully irate Doc Rivers who objected to the call.
"It was just a terrible situation, whether it was justified or not," shooting guard Ray Allen told the NBA’s official Web site. "Up until that point we were playing well and after that the game did change."
The Nets are 2-15 at home this season and ranked 30th in offense, averaging an ugly 89.8 points per game while Boston has gone an impressive 15-5 on the road this season and in ranked 14th in scoring, averaging 100.7 points per game this season.
The Boston Celtics are 7-1 against Atlantic Division opponents this season while the Nets have gone 1-6 against their division rivals.
The Celtics have the league’s best road record and have gone a consistent 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings against the Nets in New Jersey. While the C’s will be playing without forward Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace for at least another week, they are such a fine defensive team that they shouldn’t have many problems covering the spread against the offensively-challenged Nets.
This pick is an absolute lock that pro basketball lovers need to jump all over.
