NBA Friday Picks
April 24, 2010
The NBA playoffs continue with three games this Friday night. There are new courts for all, but the same opportunity for the basketball betting fans to cash in big time.
Boston 50-32 (Road: 26-15) 7:00pm ET
Miami 47-35 (Home: 24-17)
TV: ESPN, CSNE
The Heat can’t win if Dwayne Wade doesn’t get help from the rest of the team. This is something the Celtics know and they will take advantage of it.
Boston also knows that if they steal this one, the series is over, so I expect a good effort by the Celtics tonight, especially since they made such a statement in Game Two.
Keep in mind that Kevin Garnett is back after the one game suspension.
Boston Celtics +4
Miami Heat -4
O/U 182
My pick: Take the Celtics and the points.
Dallas 55-27 (Road: 27-14) 9:30pm ET
San Antonio 50-32 (Home: 29-12)
TV: ESPN, FSSW
Nobody steals a win on the road to then give it away the next game, so I expect the Spurs to be as aggressive as they were during the four quarter of Game Two. I also expect Richard Jefferson to become an important factor in this series, making San Antonio even harder to defend since Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan looked pretty good in the first two games.
Dallas Mavericks +3
San Antonio Spurs -3
O/U 194
My pick: Spurs will cover.
Denver 53-29 (Road: 19-22) 10:30pm ET
Utah 53-29 (Home: 32-9)
TV: ESPN2, ALT
There are a few things to understand in this series. The first is that Denver is the most talent team; the second is that Jerry Sloan is by far outcoaching Adrian Dantley in every aspect and that’s what’s keeping the Jazz much alive in this series.
The Nuggets are not known for having a great defense, and it has been shown that the match against the duo Boozer- Williams is giving them way too much trouble.
Despite this, I expect a close high-scoring game, and I see Utah defending their home court as they did all season.
Denver Nuggets +2.5
Utah Jazz -2.5
O/U 215
My pick: Jazz will cover
