NBA Finals – Series Price in NBA Sportsbook Still Fair on Boston Celtics
June 8, 2010
The NBA Series’ price on the Boston Celtics is still more than fair at the basketball betting odds of +110. The Celtics, who dominated the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the 2010 NBA Finals, have secured the upper-hand in the best of seven series and could close out their rivals in the next 3 games.
It won’t be easy, but at the betting odds of +110, Boston now stands as one of the best value plays in the entire sportsbook.

Reasons the Boston Celtics Will Win the 2010 NBA Championship
1. Adaptability – - Forget Game 1. I’m thinking about how the Celtics adapted from the first half to the second half in Game 2. In the first half of Game 2, the Celtics Ray Allen was absolutely dominant. He hit 7 out of 8 three point attempts to tie the record for 3-pointers made in a Finals’ game. Allen scored 27 points in the 1st half. In the 2nd half, he scored only 5 points, one of them was his 8th, and record-breaking, 3 of the game, but the Celtics continued to play well. How? They adapted. Instead of looking to Allen for the entire second half, they put the ball in Rajon Rondo’s hands and let him create. He responded beautifully by producing yet another triple double.
2. Speaking of Rondo…he can’t be stopped – - Rajon Rondo absolutely dominated the Lakers in the 2nd half of Game 2. He was particularly effective in the 4th quarter where he scored 8 points and provided a key block and strip of a Derek Fisher shot. Rajon put up 19 points, dished 10 assists and grabbed 12 boards. The Lakers have no answer for Rondo. For most of Game 2, Kobe Bryant, L.A.’s best defender, was on Rondo. No matter. Rondo still played out of his mind.
3. The Celtics are actually faster then the Lakers - – Who would have thunk it! A Boston Celtics team that can run the floor better than “Showtime”? Heresy! But it’s the truth. Boston dominated the Lakers in fast break points in Game 2. That explains why the Lakers had more second chance points in Game 2. The Celtics were releasing and running towards the hoop. The problem with L.A. is that they can’t run with the Celtics because the man pushing the ball for Boston is Rajon Rondo and nobody is as fast as Rondo on the court.
4. The Lakers only have 2 options the Celtics have at least 3 – - L.A. likes to believe that after Kobe and Pau Gasol, they have 2 serious scoring options in Ron Artest and Lamar Odom, but it’s not true. Artest has to defend Paul Pierce meaning that more often then not he’s not worrying about scoring on the other end. Lamar Odom just isn’t a good enough player to break down the Celtics’ D and make his own shot and I seriously doubt Phil Jackson is going to run Odom off of screens. So, if the Celtics can keep Kobe and Gasol under control, they can keep the Lakers under control.
The Celtics have at least 3 options in Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. Take away one of the players, Pierce for example in Game 2, and the two other players will step it up. That’s a huge advantage for the Men in Green. The Celtics’ Kevin Garnett can also get hot. If he does, then Boston will be even tougher to beat.
It’s not too late to get down on one of the best value bets in the entire sportsbook. Log onto the NBA sportsbook and bet the Boston Celtics to win the NBA Finals Series at the still awesome odds of +110!
