Oklahoma City Thunder (36-19 SU, 28-27 ATS) at San Antonio Spurs (46-10 SU, 34-20-2 ATS)

Wednesday, February 23: 7:00 p.m. ESPN, Live from AT&T Arena, San Antonio, TX

NBA Betting Odds:

Oklahoma City: +7

San Antonio: -7

Total: 205 ½

Let’s start in San Antonio, where after an extended road trip, the Spurs are back in San Antonio for the first time since January 29. And what a homecoming they should provide the fans in Texas, as this ball-club is 25-2 in the AT&T Center.

And really, whenever you mention the Spurs and the NBA Betting Picks, it all starts with All-Star Manu Ginobili. The veteran guard is coming off his second All-Star game appearance, and is having a season to remember, averaging a team-high 17.9 points per game. Guard Tony Parker chips in 17 points and just under seven assists per game, with Tim Duncan adding 13 points and nine boards a contest too.

Don’t sleep on Oklahoma City in the NBA Betting Picks however. Obviously we already know about their All-Stars in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, but don’t forget about the abilities of Jeff Green, James Harden and Serge Ibaka as role players either. Green is coming off a 22 point performance against the Clippers on Tuesday night, with Harden and Ibaka combining for 25 points and 12 boards off the bench.

When push comes to shove, we still like the experience of San Antonio in the NBA Betting Picks though. For one, they’re returning home for the first time in close to a month. Don’t you think they’ll be excited to play here? Also, with Oklahoma City flying into town after a late game Tuesday, where will their heads be?

We’re not sure, but we know the Spurs will be focused and rested with an extra day off. All of it adds up to a clear-cut NBA Betting Pick Wednesday night.

NBA Betting Pick: San Antonio -7

Los Angeles Lakers (39-19 SU, 26-31-1 ATS) at Portland Trailblazers (32-24 SU, 28-25-3 ATS)

Wednesday, February 23: 10:30 p.m., Live from Rose Garden, Portland, OR

Quickly, let’s stay on the West Coast, where the Lakers will visit the Trailblazers.

To the Lakers credit, after a first half filled with turmoil, this group seemed re-energized and re-focused in their first game back Tuesday night. Against the Hawks, four starters scored in double-figures, and the Lakers defense held Atlanta to 36 percent shooting in the win.

Still, for a lot of the same reasons we like San Antonio, we also believe Portland is the NBA Betting Pick to make here. The Trailblazers clearly aren’t healthy, but will have an extra day’s rest, and had no players in Sunday’s All-Star game. This team should come out with a new sense of focus.

In the second half of the NBA Betting Picks, go ahead select the Portland Trailblazers as your Wednesday night wager.
