NBA Betting Picks – Bulls Clash With Clippers In Top Late Game Matchup
February 3, 2011
The Los Angeles Clippers have become the must-see team of the 2010-11 NBA betting season, and it’s entirely due to Blake Griffin. The Oklahoma product has inserted himself in to the league as one of the best power forwards the league has to offer, and he is making a case to be the most exciting player not named LeBron James. A test against Carlos Boozer tonight will show just how far Griffin has come.
The Chicago Bulls spent a fortune to find a power forward in the off season, and while it’s no secret they would’ve preferred Amar’e Stoudemire, nabbing Boozer isn’t that bad of a booby prize.

The Bulls are 24-8 SU in NBA betting picks since Boozer returned in December. In his past four games, Boozer has averaged 18.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game and the Bulls are also 4-0 and 3-1 ATS in that stretch.
However, Boozer does a lot of the little things very well. He boxes out very well, uses his body in high screens and is generally considered an intimidating force under the rim. He’ll have trouble intimidating the likes of Griffin.
Chicago Bulls (33-14) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (19-28)
Tuesday, February 2nd — STAPLES Center — 10:30pm EST
NBA Betting Line: Chicago -2.5 (193.5)
Griffin, however, is a special breed of ferocity, size and competitiveness. His 24.4 points and 12.2 rebounds over the past 5 games is essentially what we’ve seen out of him all season. The Clippers are slowly but surely inching towards a playoff spot, and Griffin is getting some MVP love because of it.
For the immediate future, however, the Clippers are 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games. They are, however, 5-0 SU in their last 5 games at home and are a miraculous 7-3 SU in their last 10 games against Chicago. Nobody’s taking this team lightly anymore – especially the Bulls – but I don’t think that matters as long as Griffin and Gordon are playing in front of a full house. Take the home dog in NBA betting picks because, for once, the home court advantage means something for the Clippers.

DENVER NUGGETS -8.5 over Portland Trail Blazers
Portland doesn’t travel well and the Nuggets are one of the better home teams in general. The Blazers have fallen to just 6-14 SU in their last 20 roadies, and are coming off an exhausting win over San Antonio. Denver is just happy to be home after losing their last two games – both on the road. Denver is 5-1 SU in their last 6 games at home and you can rely on them tonight in NBA betting picks. They’re 5-0 SU in their last 5 games at home against Portland.
Milwaukee Bucks +5.0 over PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns have been a very tough team to figure out. They beat the hell out of the Boston Celtics, after coming off a three game losing streak to Charlotte, Philadelphia and Detroit. Then they barely beat New Orleans by two-points when the Hornets didn’t have Emeka Okafor. Check back to see if Bogut plays in this game before tip-off because he’s the game changer in this matchup. If he plays, take the Bucks in NBA betting picks and vice versa if he doesn’t.
