NBA Betting – Is a Comeback Possible? Heat vs Celtics
April 27, 2010
It’s never happened before but don’t tell Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat that because they plan on being the first NBA team to comeback after being down three games to none to win a playoff series. Of course, the rest of us know better. Coming into these playoffs, the Boston Celtics were every hip pundits pick to go out in the first round but the group of aging veterans has different plans. Leading 3-1 the Celtics will look to finish off the Miami Heat Tuesday night in Boston.
The NBA odds makers like the Celtics chances of ending the series in five games as they have Boston -6 point favorites but if you like the Heat to pull off one more upset, you can make +260 on the Miami moneyline. The game total is set at a very reachable 188 points.

Dwyane Wade put on a tour-de-force performance in game four in Miami; he scored 46 points and had five boards and five assists. It left fans salivating for more but the question remains was that Dwayne Wades last game in Miami as a member of the Heat? Wade, along with LeBron James and Chris Bosh, is a free agent at the end of the season but until now, it was a given that Wade would resign with the Heat.
Things have changed a little to create some doubts in Miami fan’s minds, Wade’s hometown Chicago Bulls have cleared enough room to sign a max-deal and if you look at the supporting cast the Bulls are much closer to team ready to compete than the Heat. If the Heat don’t win and take this series back to Miami, the Heat fans could be in for a long couple of months waiting for Wade’s decision.
The Boston Celtics are too old, they don’t have another series win in them, and Rasheed Wallace is a black hole and is the worst signing of the year by any team. Only one of those three statements is true but despite the Wallace misstep, the Celtics have come through and taken it to the Heat in this series, winning the first three, before dropping game four in Miami.
The key for the Boston Celtics will be to control Dwyane Wade’s supporting cast, for the first three games, Wade had no help, in game four, Michael Beasley and Quentin Richardson made appearances. The two combined for 35 points and 12 rebounds, it’s not much but it was enough. Boston will just need to control Beasley and Q-Rich and they can answer what Wade throws at them.
This series ends here; Wade will be left on an island trying to do everything because his team won’t give him the help he needs. The Celtics win and win big.
