Analysis:  There are some cold NBA betting trends regarding the Chicago Bulls in their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.  The Bulls are 1 and 6 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.  They’re also 1 and 4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Atlanta, but I don’t believe that Atlanta has met this Bulls’ squad.  These Chicago Bulls have won 7 out of their last 8 games straight up.  They’ve also won 7 out of their last 8 games against the spread and have beaten the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs in the process.  The Atlanta Hawks are 2 and 4 ATS in their last 6 games.  I just don’t believe ATL has enough to challenge Chi-Town on March 2.

San Antonio Spurs (49-10) at Cleveland Cavaliers (11-48)

Where:  Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio

When:  7:00 pm EST

NBA Odds:  San Antonio -9

Analysis:  The Spurs haven’t exactly been studs in the online sports betting book lately.  San Antonio is actually 0 and 4 ATS in their last 4 games and 2 and 5 against the spread in their last 7 contests.  But the Spurs are a very good 19-9-1 ATS in their away games this season, all of those non-covers occurred at home, meaning that they should destroy Cleveland by at least 15 in this game and maybe all the way up to 20 or more points. Cleveland has been a good team ATS going 4 and 0 in their last 4 games, but San Antonio is one of the Top 3 teams in the league.  The Spurs should crush Cleveland on Wednesday night.

New Orleans Hornets (35-26) at New York Knicks (30-27)

Where:  Madison Square Garden, New York, New York

When:  7:30 pm EST

NBA Odds:  Under 201 ½

Analysis:  I couldn’t decide on backing the Hornets or Knicks against the spread, NYK is favored by 3 ½ points, so I’ve decided that the two best possible wagers to make on this game are backing New Orleans to win straight up on the NBA moneyline odds or to bet under the exorbitant, almost garishly overwrought, total on this contest.  Why?  The Hornets allow only 92.6 points per game on average per contest.  That ranks them third in the league.  They allow teams to shoot only 44.7% against them from the field.  The New York Knicks, although the type of team that can put up a ton of points, held the Miami Heat to 86 points in a 91 to 86 victory over this past weekend.  With New Orleans slowing it down to a crawl, NYK will respond by setting up ‘Melo and Amare for thunderous dunks and Chauncey for an occasional three-pointer, but the Knicks will take their sweet time doing it.  I’m going under.
