NBA 2 Game Parlay – Spurs vs. Rockets and Thunder vs. Suns

March 15, 2009

With so many things still undecided on the basketball front, it makes sense for BetOnline online sportsbook fans to concentrate on the NBA this weekend.

The NBA will be showcasing some interesting games on Saturday and Sunday that could potentially provide profits to gamblers.

On Saturday there are two games that look good enough for a nice parlay.

Let’s take a look at both games.

Parlay Game 1: San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets

Analysis: The Spurs travel to Houston to take on the Rockets. I really believe that the Rockets have a shot to win the NBA Championship, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they beat up on the Spurs. Or, does it? Houston takes on Charlotte on Friday night. That might be a no-brainer game since the Rockets will almost assuredly be concentrating on San Antonio. So, gamblers might want to think about betting the Bobcats against Houston on Friday night. As far as Saturday’s game is concerned, San Antonio just got beat by the Lakers on Thursday night and should be fired up to prove that they are still the Spurs. Houston, however, matches up very well with San Antonio. Yao Ming takes away Tim Duncan forcing the Spurs to go to Tony Parker and Michael Finley way too much. Because Houston is an awesome defensive team, the Spurs could be in for a long night in this one. I see Houston impressing their home fans.

Pick: Houston Rockets to cover at -4 or less in the sportsbook.

Parlay Game 2: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Phoenix Suns

Analysis: Oklahoma City has won three straight games against the spread versus Philadelphia, Sacramento and Denver. Their last game, against the Nuggets on the road, was on March 11th which means the Thunder will have had 3 days to rest before taking on Phoenix. The Thunder is 5-1-1 ATS vs. Phoenix in the last 7 games between the two ball clubs. Phoenix is a mess going 12-19-1 ATS at home this season. They will be a heavy favorite in this game, but the Thunder should be tough versus the Suns, right? Not really. Since returning to the run and gun, Phoenix has been very good on the offensive side of the ball. They put up 140 versus Oklahoma City the last time these two teams met. I see Phoenix doing the same thing and covering a monster spread.

Pick: Phoenix Suns to cover at -12 or less.
