NASCAR:  Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500 Top 3

Race-day:  3/29/2009
Race-time:  1:30 pm EST

NASCAR shows up in Martinsville, VA this Sunday for the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500.

With over 40 drivers taking to the track, it can be difficult for NASCAR betting fans to find the winner which is why it’s a good thing that BetOnline Sportsbook offers wagering on the Top 3.

Let’s analyze the chances of the best drivers to finish in the Top 3 in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500.

NASCAR:  Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500 Top 3

  1. Kyle Busch +150 – - It all starts with the top guy in the NASACR Power Rankings.  Kyle won last week’s Food City 500 in Bristol.  It was his second victory of 2009.  Could Busch be on another great streak after the Food City?  Maybe.  In any case, he’s almost a virtual lock to finish in the Top 3.  Kyle will make another great run this Sunday.
  1. Jimmie Johnson Ev – - Jimmie finally put it together at Bristol when finishing third to Kyle Busch last week.  He could turn the tables on that rival and win.  A Top 3 finish is even likelier because he won a race on this track in 2008.  Johnson will be tough to keep out of the Top 3.
  1. Denny Hamlin +150 – - Who won the other race at Martinsville in 2008?  Busch’s teammate, Denny Hamlin.  How good was Hamlin last week in the Food City 500?  Good enough to finish second to Kyle Busch.  Hamlin is starting to drive very well and his crew is calling all of the right shots.  He’s got a terrific chance to finish in the Top 3 in this.
  1. Jeff Gordon +125 – - Gordon finished fourth at Bristol to which means Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing garnered the top four places in the Food City 500.   Gordon could definitely jump up a spot and into the Top 3 in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500.
  1. Kurt Busch +300 – - He won the Kobalt Tools 500 on March 8th and really didn’t have a lousy Food City 500 last week.  He could bounce back at nice odds and challenge his brother in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500.
  1. Mark Martin +500 – - Martin did well enough in the Food City to garner some attention for Top 3 status in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief.  Martin might be worth a shot at 5 to 1 considering he finished 6th in the Food City 500 last Sunday.

Best Long Shots

  • Juan Pablo Montoya +1500 – - Juan Pablo finished 9th in the Food City.  That was his first Top Ten finish of the year.  He has finished in the Top Ten once in Martinsville and could improve enough to finish in the Top 3 this Sunday.
  • Ryan Newman +700 – - Newman finished 7th in the Food City 500 last Sunday and only needs to improve slightly to get himself into the Top 3 this Sunday in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500.
