NASCAR betting from Hot-lanta – Checker Flag for Concrete Carl?

NASCAR betting: Hot-lanta!

As the NASCAR betting season gets into full swing, it is important to start evaluating the drivers with solid momentum going into races. Three races into the season, we are able to tell who will be the contenders, and who are the pretenders in the world of stock car racing. This is good news for those who bet on NASCAR at the BetOnline sportsbook, as fewer surprises will take place, and there are more safe bets in the field every week.

This week at Atlanta, we return to the intermediate tracks, where big-name teams and drivers tend to thrive. The gradual banking makes the car set-up fairly difficult, so teams such as Roush Racing and Hendrick Motorsports have a big advantage, with their large and experienced crews at the helm.

Let’s take a look at the three favorites at Atlanta for the Kobalt Tools 500!

Carl Edwards

Everything will rely on Edwards’ engine in this race. Team No. 99 has had a string of engine problems, including in Atlanta in this very race last year. Fortunately, Edwards’ crew put together a better engine last spring, when Carl took the checkered flag. The thing is—Edwards is nearly unbeatable on intermediate, concrete tracks. It will all be a matter of whether or not he can get the equipment necessary to finish the race. Regardless, Edwards is a good NASCAR betting play based on his potential.

Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch may be the best race car driver anywhere in the world right now. That’s exactly why Formula 1 is trying to bait him to their circuit for next season. But for now, Busch continues to dominate the NASCAR odds, and is a strong contender at absolutely every track. California was a great indication of what he is capable of, winning the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series within hours of one another. It would almost be silly not to add Busch to your NASCAR betting parlay this weekend.

Jimmie Johnson

Nobody in the Sprint Cup Series has performed better at Atlanta Motor Speedway than Jimmie Johnson in the No. 48 car. Johnson has an uncanny average finish of 10.4 at this track, and the Kobalt Tools 500 is the perfect opportunity for him to turn around a lackluster season thus far. Everyone planning to bet on NASCAR this season must believe that Johnson will contend for the championship once again, and this should be the start of his journey.
