BRETT FAVRE – TOTAL COMPLETIONS
Over 22½ Completions -125
Under 22½ Completions -105
Favre has completed 60 passes this season, which comes to an average of 20 per game. It is no secret that he has not functioned that well without his best receiver, Sidney Rice. Or maybe Rice was his best receiver until now. The guy who puts a different angle into this NFL prop is Randy Moss, who is the player he’ll be trying to stretch the field with.
The Vikings have run the ball 53% of the time, which is actually a pretty nice balance, but then again, you’d have balance too if you had someone like Adrian Peterson in your backfield.
So what have the Jets’ opponents done so far? Well, clearly they have been frustrated by the inability to establish a consistent running attack, as they are allowing just 3.3 yards a carry. So the other team has passed it 61% of the time. Favre is going to put the football in the air, as far as I can see it. But he is going up against a Jets’ secondary that has held the opposing quarterback to 53.4% completions.
I don’t know that Favre is going to have as hard a time getting somebody to run the ball, but I also don’t think he’ll have extraordinary success in this game, compared with what he’s done in the three games his team has played.

BRETT FAVRE – TOTAL PASSING YARDS
Over 235½ Yards -115
Under 235½ Yards -115
Favre’s career average in yards per game is 239.5, and in his first season with the Vikes last year he was at almost 263. He’s averaging a shade under 200 yards now, but of course, with just three games, that is a very small sampling. Now that he has Moss at his disposal, will that improve? Maybe, but there has obviously been a lot of controversy swirling around Favre this past week, and it may affect the way this NFl prop comes out.
The New York Post has done it up very, very big. When Favre was with the Jets two years ago, he was apparently sending some very suggestive text messages and graphic photos to a woman named Jennifer Sterger, who was working with the Jets at the time, and who is another of those model-types (she’s been in Playboy, Maxim, etc.) who figures she’ll be eye candy for all the testosterone-charged kids who are die-hard (pardon the pun) sports fans out there.
I say "kids" because evidently she doesn’t much care to attract the attention of the older fellows. In fact, she e-mailed the editors about eight months ago to call Favre "a creepy douche" and claimed that she didn’t know him; that "I don’t roll that way, meaning old….or married." No, but she DOES roll in the tabloids. Let the 15-minute countdown begin……..

WILL BRETT FAVRE THROW AN INTERCEPTION?
Yes -240
No +190
Favre has, in a sense, already been the victim of an interception of sorts. I guess we’re kind of wondering how the pictures and text messages got from Sterger’s cell phone into the hands of whoever exposed it to the general public. Although it hasn’t been revealed that she actually leaked all of this naughty Brett Favre stuff to the gossip website Deadspin in a publicity grab a la Erin Andrews or Inez Sainz the 26-year-old Sterger obviously seems to have been corresponding with the site quite a bit.
The residual effects of this incident are that stories are starting to come out about Favre’s previous dalliances and the strain they have caused in his marriage, as well as a Tiger Woods-like fall from grace with the endorsement partners who put an estimated #7 million in his pocket last year. There’s no truth to the rumor that Favre told a confidant, in his own words, "Viagra might could use me right now."
The NFL investigation that is taking place involves a workplace-related incident, and as such it is not something for Favre to take lightly. I guess with all his retirements and decisions to un-retire, it would be kind of ironic if he had to go into a retirement that was not his choice at all. His teammates might be thinking he’s a "creepy douche" about now as well. With all of this hanging over his head, will he throw an interception to satisfy our NFl prop? You bet your ass he will.
