The Philadelphia Eagles will look to prove that the move to rid the team of Donovan McNabb in the offseason was the right thing to do, and judging by the way the Monday Night Football Odds have been laid out, most feel confident that they did. Sunday’s game is huge for the Eagles – a loss would pull them into a tie with the Skins and would give Washington the tiebreaker if it is needed at the end of the season.

The Eagles offense has not missed a beat this season. In fact, Michael Vick has made them more well rounded and far less predictable. They currently have the 10th ranked passing offense and the 5th raked running game. Vick has tossed for 1017 yards this season, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions while adding another 261 yards on the ground – most of which coming on third down to move the chains. With the threat of DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin catching the ball and LeSean McCoy and Vick running the ball, the Eagles are poised to be one of the more dynamic offenses for the rest of the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles should give Donovan McNabb and the Washington offense fits on Monday night. They are 15th against the pass and 12th against the run. With cleverly disguised blitz packages and an underrated secondary, look for the Eagles to force a number of turnovers on Monday night.

The Washington Redskins will enter Monday night’s game as Monday Night Football Odds underdogs for good reason. A will publicized riff between Mike Shanahan and hasn’t gone away despite a bye week. Truth be told, McNabb hasn’t done much to cool the criticism.

The Redskins have the 13th ranked passing offense and the 23rd ranked passing game. Their offensive line has been leaky to say the least, allowing 23 sacks against their helpless quarterback.

Washington’s defense has been abysmal this season and has been directly responsible for at least two of the four losses that the Redskins have suffered this year. They are allowing 281 yards per game through the air (31st in the NFL) and 112.38 yards per game on the ground (18th).

Monday Night Football Odds Outlook:

The Philadelphia Eagles are 5-2 SU in their last seven games and are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Philadelphia is 6-3 SU in their last nine games on the road and is 2-4 ATS in their last six on the road. The Eagles are 12-6 SU in their last 18 versus Washington but are 1-4 ATS in their last five against the Redskins. Philadelphia is 8-2 SU in Washington but is just 2-4 ATS in their last six trips to FedEx Field.

Washington is 6-14 SU in their last 20 games overall and 2-5 SU in their last seven at home. The Redskins are 6-11-1 ATS in their last 18 at home overall and are 5-10 ATS in their last 15 versus the Eagles at home.

The Washington Redskins are a team in disarray. Dysfunction and poor overall play will rear its ugly head once again on Monday night. The Eagles will bring pressure defensively and will execute their unpredictable offense on the way to an easy win. The Eagles win and stay in the in the NFC East and NFC playoff race!

Monday Night Football Odds Pick: Philadelphia Eagles -3
