Monday Morning Quarterback
November 22, 2010
What a great weekend for NFL betting this was, with the Pats taking the Colts, the Vikings falling to the Packers and the Eagles vs. Giants matchup. All were the great matches this weekend.
The best of the Week 11, of course, was the Brady vs. Manning match, as both looked great in so many moments but they also looked flat, as the Pats held on to win 31-28. The problem for the Colts was that when Manning appeared flat, he made three turnovers like the young Manning who couldn’t beat the Pats because he tried to do more than he actually could.

The thing here to consider is that the Pats defense was able to confuse Manning, but also the Pats showed that can run the ball effectively against a weak defense.
On the other hand, the Packers crushed the Vikings 31-3 and retired Brett Favre with a nice butt whipping. Here is a Packers team that not many people are talking about, but which gave the good-bye to Wade Phillips, Brad Childress, and Favre in only three weeks.
I have been trying to figure out for weeks who are the best teams in the NFC and every time I make a pick, they disappoint me. The Eagles might be that team but I don’t want to jinx them, especially now that they showed me that they can win without Michael Vick’s arm and feet as they beat the NY Giants 27-17.
By the way, the NFC South is the best division in football as the Saints, Bucs, and Falcons are all winning teams with really high playoffs hopes.
Favorites that covered the spread: Cowboys, Chiefs, Packers, Steelers, Ravens, Jaguars, Falcons, Saints and Eagles.
Underdogs that covered: Bills, Redskins, Texans and Bucs.
