MLB Wagering Action – Reds To Nab Win Over Mariners In Series Finale
June 20, 2010
The Cincinnati Reds and Seattle Mariners will both be looking to pick up a victory when they battle in the finale of a three-game Interleague set at Safeco Field on Sunday at 4 PM ET.
The Starters: The Reds will hand the ball to veteran right-hander Aaron Harang (5-6, 5.44 ERA) in this one hoping he can bounce back from a poor start the last time out as the Dodgers smacked him around him for three runs in the first inning.

Cincinnati (37-30 SU, 34-26-7 O/U, 34-33 RL)
Seattle (25-41 SU, 29-31-6 O/U, 31-35 RL)
Harang tossed a whopping 98 pitches in just 4.1 innings before rain delayed the game for more than two hours and he was removed from what ended up being a 12-0 Reds loss.
Prior to his most recent start, Harang had allowed two earned runs or less in three straight starts.
Seattle will counter with struggling southpaw starter Ryan Rowland-Smith (0-6, 6.63 ERA) who has given up a whopping 18 hits (including three home runs) over his last two starts spanning just 9.2 innings.
Analysis: I don’t have many doubts that the Cincinnati Reds are going to win this contest, most likely by pounding Ryan Rowland-Smith into submission at some point before the seventh inning stretch.
Heading into Friday night, the Reds had recorded a winning road record (14-13) while Seattle had gone just 15-17 at home this season.
This game will undeniably be Cincinnati’s best chance to record a win over the weekend with Seattle trotting out Cliff Lee and Felix Hernandez on Friday and Saturday night.
I like the Reds to record the Run Line victory here with a two-run win at the very least.
MLB Expert Picks: Cincinnati 6 Seattle 3
