In Lester’s four starts on the season, he has taken one loss and two no-decisions along with one win. With a season ERA of 3.20, Lester has given up 22 hits on the season.

Haren, on the other hand, has begun the season with a stellar 4-0 record with five starts. Over 31 complete innings pitched on the season, Haren has allowed only 18 hits and four runs. In addition, he has notched a high 27 strike-outs on the season.

The Game 1 matchup should easily go to the Angels. Playing at home behind the arm of Haren is a no-brainer, as Boston has yet to show that its lineup can compete with this caliber of pitching.
