MLB Betting Previews – Gil Meche Will Be No Match For Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers have been anything but a sure thing on the road. Losers of their last five straight roadies, the Rangers are in dire need of some victories away from home as the race for the American League West stretches on. Luckily, they’re facing a Kansas City team which has never been able keep up with the scoring pace, moving Texas back in to a favor with the MLB betting public.

In recent starts, Gil Meche has been able to put Kansas City in a position to win. Too bad for him, he hasn’t earned a decision in those games. Meche is 0-4 SU as eight starts, with the Royals going 2-6 SU when Meche opens the game. They’ve claimed victory in the past two games Meche has started, no thanks to his 6.75 ERA.

The offense for Texas has been a huge question mark on the road, ranking just 10th in the American League with only 3.8 runs per game. That won’t really matter against Meche and the woeful Royals. The Rangers have been in a slump on the road, but can easily turn the tide of MLB betting back in their favor. I don’t expect the Royals to break the five game losing streak they hold when playing Texas. I fully expect the Rangers to snap their five game losing skid on the road.
