MLB Betting Pick – Twins Take on AL Central Rival Royals

The Minnesota Twins keep humming along, leading the AL Central yet again while slowly stockpiling their talent level over the years. Now they are no longer an overachieving team that plays hard and plays great defense but a team that has the talent to match their gaudy record.

The Kansas City Royals on the other hand have been the MLB betting underdogs all year and for the better part of the past decade and more according to the baseball betting odds. They have a shot to be the baseball betting favorite at home on Saturday and for good reason, however, because of the pitching matchup they will see against the Twins, who are typically the MLB betting favorite because of their pitching.

Hochevar has emerged alongside fellow righty Zack Greinke to give the Royals one of the best one-two punches early in the 2010 MLB season in the American League.

Hochevar has good stuff including great breaking pitches to frustrate hitters and command the strike zone when he is on.

So far for the Royals on the season he has an ERA of less than 3 and is looking to build off that early-season success against the Twins on Saturday.

It’s a game the Royals will need to win because they can’t afford to fall too far under .500 or too far behind the Twins in the AL Central for that matter if they hope to give their fans anything at all to cheer about this season.

Blackburn has been rough so far in 2010 and MLB betting fans should take note of it. Blackburn’s ERA is above 6 on the year and that’s not the type of pitcher than baseball betting fans should throw money on until he proves he’s righted the ship.

The Royals’ lineup isn’t that great but Jose Guillen has been revitalized in 2010 and has been hitting the cover off the ball leading the Royals to some MLB baseball betting odds upsets so far.

That trend will continue on Saturday as the Royals pull the upset win.
