The Arizona Diamondbacks are sending right-hander Barry Enright to the mound tonight and based on his past performances, he should put on a good show. Since joining the D-Backs from AAA in June, Enright has put together four quality starts (Min. 6 IP, 3 runs or less) in seven outings. In his seven starts, Enright has held opponents to two runs or less.
The Brewers will have to rely on their bats tonight as their starter Manny Parra is just 3-9 and hasn’t won a game since July 3. In his last five games, Parra is 0-4 with an 8.56 ERA. Although he has performed well historically against Arizona, Parra is 1-0 with a 0.86 ERA.
Relying on the bats for the Brewers might be tough tonight with the Ryan Braun and Corey Hart likely out of the game. Braun is dealing with a wrist strain and Hart is day to day with a bad back.
Looking at the mlb trends for tonight’s game, things look good for the Diamondbacks.
The D-Backs are 5-0 in their past 5 games against a left-handed starter and 4-0 in their past four against pitchers with a WHIP over 1.30. Manny Parra’s WHIP is 1.67 so he gives up a lot of hits and walks and gives his opponents chances to beat him.
Tonight MLB Bettors should look at the Under 9 runs. Barry Enright hasn’t given up more than 3 runs in all of his MLB starts and despite Parra’s bad record on the season, he’s done well historically against the D-Backs.
MLB Betting Pick: Brewers/Diamondbacks Under 9 runs.
