MLB Betting Insider – Break the Bank by Betting on MLB’s Run Line Leaders

June 1, 2010

While there is plenty of MLB money to be made by wagering on games or individual teams with either straight-up (SU) and Over/Under (O/U) picks, MLB betting buffs should know there is nothing quite like cashing in on a bankroll-boosting Run Line wager.

The simple fact of the matter is that, bettors that can consistently nail Run Line (RL) wagers will likely be far wealthier at the end of the season than gamblers who just make SU or O/U bets.

Having said that, this look at baseball’s best Run Line payday-producers will point avid pro baseball bettors in the right direction toward making a multitude of winning Run Line wagers over the course next week or so.

With a full docket of Major League Baseball on tap for tonight, let’s get started.

Toronto 36-17 (+2047)
Saying ‘Oh Canada’ doesn’t do justice for the way the Toronto Blue Jays have covered the MLB betting Run Line this season. Toronto’s absolutely incendiary 36-17 RL record has put a whopping $2,047 in MLB gamblers’ pockets – and that figure is just insane for a team that hasn’t even reached the midway point of the regular season yet. Toronto has hit a major league-leading 89 home runs so far this season – 20 more than the next closest team and have three players that have all hit at least 10 home runs.

Mets 33-19 (+1316)
The Mets are 26-26 SU this season and tied with Florida for third place in the NL East heading into Tuesday night but have been an absolute terror when it comes to covering the Run Line. The Mets have gone 33-19 against the Run Line to put over $1,300 in MLB gamblers pockets so far – and that’s a figure that even New York haters should love.

San Diego 31-20 (+1125)
The Padres are tearing up the MLB wagering statistics MLB gamblers! Not only do the Padres sit atop the MLB money rankings, but they have also been one of the top road money producers this season and have put over $1,100 in the coffer against the Run Line. I say jump on the Padres while they’re smoking hot.

Yankees 29-22 (+797)
Fueled by their impressive collection of mashers, the Yankees have gone a solid 29-22 against the Run Line this season to put nearly $800 in bettors’ pockets. The best news for Yanks backers is that they’re likely to get even hotter as the summer months approach.

Washington 32-20 (+707)
The Nats haven’t been very easy to beat this season and own a solid 26-26 SU record heading into Tuesday night that has them tied for third place in the NL East with Florida and New York. Washington’s 32-20 RL mark tells me they’ve been in a ton of one run ballgames this season. The good news for MLB gamblers that like the Nationals is that they will be even better after calling up No. 1 overall draft pick Stephen Strasburg from the minors this week.
