MLB Betting Insider – Bank on Baseball’s Best Road Money Teams to Boost Betting Bankroll
June 1, 2010
MLB baseball betting buffs everywhere will have one more way to boost the betting bankroll over the course of this week thanks to this in-depth look at the top seven road money teams in all of baseball this season.
MLB gamblers should take note of the fact that, boosted by their fine road records, four of these seven ballclubs are ranked in the top five in overall money producers this season.
With that thought in mind and a full slate of MLB action taking place in the MLB betting sportsbook tonight, let me get started.
Tampa Bay 19-6 (+1273)
The Rays have gone a league-best 19-6 on the road this season and have won two of its last three road contests overall, losing to the competitive Blue Jays on Monday night. The Rays will face the Jays for two more games before moving on to Texas to face the potent Rangers offense in a three-game set beginning on Thursday.
Toronto 16-11 (+903)
The Blue Jays are just two games behind New York for second place in the AL East and ride a four-game winning streak into tonight’s matchup against Tampa Bay. The Blue Jays are the second-best money team in all of baseball at the time of this writing and have posted a solid 16-11 mark on the road this season but have lost four of its last six road games overall.
San Diego 14-9 (+788)
The Padres are the best money team in all of baseball right now and have won two straight road contests and six of eight away from home overall. The Padres pounded the Mets 18-6 on Monday night and head into tonight’s Game 2 matchup against New York riding a wave of momentum.
Washington 12-16 (+497)
The Nationals may have a losing road record, but they’ve been good enough on the road to put nearly $500 in baseball bettors’ pockets on the road this season and rank third in all of baseball when it comes to bringing home the bacon. The Nats have split their last four road games evenly.
Kansas City 12-16 (+374)
The Royals are as pitiful as ever – and I’d be really careful when wagering on this ballclub no matter where they play – but Kansas City has managed to put positive money in bettors’ pockets and have somehow managed to win three of their last six road games heading into Tuesday night.
Minnesota 13-11 (+241)
The scrappy Twins have won three of its last five on the road this season and sit atop the AL Central standings by almost five games over the Detroit Tigers. Maybe it’s me, but I’m already thinking the Twins could cause someone trouble once the postseason rolls around. Minnesota will have an excellent opportunity to win its second straight road game tonight when Nick Blackburn takes the mound against the offensively-challenged Mariners.
Boston 13-10 (+191)
The red Sox have won five straight on the road to improve to 13-10 away from Fenway Park, but look like they’re going to be in a serious dogfight to reach the postseason – even as a wild card – with their own division rivals, Tampa Bay and Toronto both looking better than the BoSox so far this season.
