MLB Betting – Can Streaking Red Sox Stay Hot in Baltimore?

The Red Sox batting lineup hasn’t been nearly as good as in recent years as age and attrition are starting to catch up to them.

David Ortiz is a shell of his former self and the batting lineup doesn’t have the power it once had by any stretch.

The team is 5th in the AL in slugging and 6th in OPS, but that’s about all they have to hang their hats on.

As far as the pitching goes, Boston is average to below-average in every category, so this game isn’t the big mismatch on paper that everyone thinks it is.

At the same time, however, the Orioles have shown little sign that they will be competitive as the season gets going.

They have merely pride to play for in a lot of peoples’ minds which means that few people are comfortable making them their MLB betting pick based on the baseball betting odds.

The Orioles rank 10th or worse in every major pitching and/or batting category in the AL and Boston is throwing out John Lackey tonight, a talented pitcher who is due for a big performance despite some early troubles.

The Red Sox should be able to cover the baseball betting odds easily in this one using Lackey’s pitching and their offensive advantage.
