MLB Betting Breakdown – Cash in on Baseball’s Best Run Line Leaders

August 1, 2010

When it comes to cashing in on MLB baseball betting with a payday-producing wager, one of my very favorite routes to striking pay dirt is to bet against the MLB Run Line.

Whether I’m backing the Run Line underdog and getting 1.5 runs or going with the favorite and giving up the same run-and-a-half, Run Line wagering can be highly profitable for MLB gamblers everywhere.

This look at baseball’s top five Run Line money leaders will give devoted MLB betting enthusiasts another solid route to producing a multitude of potentially winning selections over the remainder of the 2010 regular season.

Toronto (+$2274)

The Blue Jays may currently sit in fourth place in the competitive AL East, but they have recorded a league-best 62-39 Run Line record to put nearly $2300 in pro baseball bettors’ pockets, thanks in large part to the team’s MLB-best 154 team home runs at the time of this writing.

Toronto has covered the MLB Run Lin in two straight games heading into Wednesday night.

NY Mets (+$2095)

Like the Blue Jays, the Mets almost assuredly won’t reach the postseason as they currently sit in third place in the NL East, However, like their AL counterparts, the Mets have also gone wild against the MLB Run Line this season, recording a fine 59-41 Run Line mark to cash in huge for pro baseball bettors.

The Mets have covered the MLB Run Line in four straight games heading into Wednesday night’s action.

San Diego (+$1318)

Simply put, the Padres have been the biggest and most pleasant surprise in all of baseball this season, thanks to their top-ranked pitching staff (3.28 Team ERA).

San Diego has gone a blistering 56-42 in Run Line wagers – and shows no signs of slowing down as they steamroll toward what looks like will be one of the most surprising postseason berths in recent memory.

The Padres have covered the Run Line in three of its last four games and seven of 10 overall.

NY Yankees (+$ 1189)

The Yankees have gone an impressive 54-45 against the Run Line this season while cashing in for MLB gambling fans in two of the last three games and six of its last eight overall.

The Yankees are ranked first in offense (so what else is new?) but 10th in team ERA (3.92) and that could be a concern once the postseason rolls around.

Atlanta (+$1038)

The Braves have lost three of its last four games and are just 3.5 games in front of the streaking Phillies right now, but they’ve also been one of baseball’s best Run Line teams to wager on this season as they head into Wednesday night’s action with a solid 52-47 Run Line record that has put over $1,000 bucks in backers’ pockets this season.

Still, I’d be a bit concerned if I’m a braves fan right about now!
